The Geonosian designs actaully came from the concept of Attack of the Clones.



During the first war on Geonosis, the Republic failed to find the Progate Temple and failed to find out Poggle the Lesser took orders from a secret queen. But now in the second assault, Luminara and trooper Buzz tracked down Poggle to the Progate Temple and found Karina the Great.

 

WHY IS THIS GUY STILL HERE?

Cad Bane had tons of concepts. The first design was him with a mask and a smaller hat. As the concept got larger, they still had the mask and made an Indiana Jones fedora. In a 2008 concept, after the making of "Blue Shadow Virus", they removed the mask and put on oxygen tubes. They still had gloves on him. Before Hostage crisis aired, they cut the gloves so his fingers were shown and Cad Bane was born.
