Ben Burt Audio Commentary

    Am I the only one who really gets a kick out of listening to Ben Burt's audio commentaries on the OT DVDs?

    ANH Commentary: "This was an amazing effect! While we were shooting ANH, I happened to be hiking past a dumpster one day when I heard the most amazing and acoustically original sound - a seal and a toad mating in the dumpster! Luckily I had my recorder with me and was able to capture the sound. I then ran it backwards through a 42 year old sound system in a near-by cathedral to produce the sound we all know as the Wilhelm scream. This job has proven to be so very rewarding over the years!"

    Amazing. The guy really blows me away with some of the things he came up with to produce sounds for the films.

    While some of his info was good. He talks to much on the commentaries, I wish we had more from George, Kershner, and Carrie.
