it's not sounding very much like cardinal to me... to think, i am being dissuaded by a toy!

Indeed, I always assumed that they were snooping around looking for D.J. but it looks like the lock is on the other side from them meaning that they are in the cell.

And I would guess that the camera is D,J.'s POV there (who Finn is looking at) and he's about to offer to pick the lock.

 

My favorite line of his is "sound effects."

 

So now we know where DJ is at the beginning of the 3rd act.

 

err cardinal is a new character too. holdo is a new character and was in the leia book.

I wonder if that will make the movie. I mean said really quickly it would be really easy to mishear that for the real thing.

 

cardinal and DJ possibly being the same idea is boosted by cardinal being on the supremacy with finn and rose in that they may need him particularly to hack FO systems.

although people would recognize cardinal probably and that is a huge problem. that may bring this idea down.

and although i could imagine cardinal being straight forward about introducing himself as a thief, the rest of the toy lines... um.

also becoming a thief would be a huge turn for cardinal's character in the first place, since i think that structure and law is what that character preferred. i mean he could have thrown ALL of those standards out when he realized everything he believed in was a lie (lost his cause).

 

With those two lines, I think I found my favorite character in the ST.

 

Is "Oh, for Hutt's sake!" gonna be the TLJ equivalent of TFA's "Droid please!" line?

 

Maz is mobile in space and refers the Resistance to seek out DJ.

She, herself, is not on Canto Bight.

 

that's it, after reading the interview about the DJ comic in another thread, i am dumping the DJ = cardinal idea. it was fun while it lasted.

 

I wonder what Jabba would make of DJ taking his name in vain?

the hutts do seem to kind of see themselves as godlike compared to everyone else if niima the hutt is anything to go by. she had her own "cult following" in aftermath.

it also makes sense with jabba who apparently really um loved his little son? in TCW beginning. yet he really doesn't seem to have much regard for the lives of anyone who isn't a hutt.

 

Does that mean that Stinky the Hutt will make a cameo?
