If you watch this footage back and forth, you can pick out the prison bunk beds behind Finn's head. So it is more than likely that they are indeed incarcerated.

So not only does DJ break Finn and Rose out of Canto Bight Police Department's cells, he also arranges forged documents to get all three of them on board Snoke's Star Destroyer.

He's a useful man to have around.

 

Handy if your ship is First Order surplus as well.

 

- Get's paid for busting Finn/Rose out of Canto Bight
- Get's paid for using his ship to get onto the Supremacy
- Get's paid for turning in Finn to the First Order

He's a bonafide William Shatner - getting paid for every minute of his day....

 

According to Phasma's comic she's pretty ruthless. Perhaps she is the one who encouraged DJ to sell out Finn and Rose to the FO, before having him executed. It would certainly save her the trouble of paying him.

 

As much as I would hate to see Benicio Del Toro's character get executed, I could see Phasma doing something like that. We know DJ sneaks onboard the destroyer with Finn and Rose. I could see him double crossing them if he were promised a nice payment by Phasma, only to be crossed by her.

I do not know if his character would ultimately be executed though. Maybe he would get away at the nick of time

 

So can we confirm that it is in fact DJ who speaks the words "Darkness rises" in the new TV spot?

So many people are telling me it's Snoke, but I'm 99% sure it's not. Snoke completes the line..."and the light to meet it." But "Darkness rises" is almost certainly Benicio del Toro's voice.

That's good, I hope he survives. He sounds like an interesting character for future stories.

If that is indeed Snoke, why does his voice characteristics vary so much? I mean it's not a subtle difference, it's huge.
