Argh. Regrettably, I have a prior engagement on Saturday night. I would like to see this, though. I kind of dismissed it, but I've been hearing it's actually quite fun. Sunday arvo, perhaps? Don't change your plans just for me, though.

A handful of cinemas are showing Beowulf in 3-D. Does anyone know if this is happening somewhere accessible?

I'd be up for Sunday afternoon. My only exposure to the Beowulf story is a particularly awful direct-to-video film starring Christopher Lambert. Anything to overwrite that part of my memory banks.

I seem to recall that one. Had demons in it?

I'm up for either Saturday or Sunday (provided my Jane Eyre description is well told and I don't have to preset the recorder for Sunday night...).

It'll be Hawthorne doing the 3D thing, I imagine. I'd be interested to check it out. We could get a carpool together.

I missed the last 15 minutes of Jane Eyre last Sunday due to couch doze..shakes fist!

Sunday arvo is cool with me. Victoria Point and Chermside are doing the 3D I think. I'd prefer Chermside. Someone less lazy than me check? :)

Victoria Point has the 3D screening. Its fun. Wearing the 3D Glasses over normal glasses is an engineering feat, however :p

Well worth watching; a good rousing action adventure.

    The moral of the story:

As in the real world, Angelina Jolie makes men stupid!!

    Be seeing you,

    That's a fact, to be sure. [face_hypnotized]

K, if I can get Jane Eyre, I'll make a copy for you :)

It's in 3D at Chermside at 330 and 630 tomorrow too. I think that's more central for most people isn't it?.

I'd be opting for the 630 pm viewing preceded by an arvo of gilhooleys food/drinks for whoever was interested :) Decadent.

Anyway..purely my preferred. Any other thoughts?

6:30, Chermside, 3 dimensions, sounds like a plan to me. I'll be there.

Would anybody be coming my way on your way to Chermside? I'd really like to go, but I don't think I'd be able to get there otherwise.

Yep Morgs. Sunday 630pm Chermside. 3D viewing.

I/ we ( well haven't ACTUALLY discussed it with the Goobs )will probably be having early dinner at Gilhooleys or a Chermsidey cafe, or drinks at least. Crazy mythological movie in animated form needs some kind of preceeding alcohol!

Good to know - my confusion is arrested forthwith.

Pre-movie sustinance sounds fan-dabby-babulous to me.

Sounds like fun, and I really want to see this movie, but I really can't afford it. I'll hopefully get to see it at Southbank (of course I'll have to organise my new student card before such time).

    Have fun guys!

I'll shout you, miss Abi. Come along.

edit: Actually now I think of it, is this one of these sessions that we should be pre-getting our tickets?

Ummm...seems I forgot something important about today. Last races of the V8 season. Still will be seeing this movie, looking forward to it, but probably won't be there til movie time, or just before.

    Pologies.

GO 888. Go Lowndsey. Go Jamie!
Your deeds are famous,so stay resolute, my lord, defend your life now with the whole of your strength. I shall stand by you.

Am gonna buy tickets online now I think. Shouldn't be fully booked being Sunday night and all, but better to be safe.

And yeah, would love to see you LC. What Morgs said :)

Hey just bought tickets online. The tickets were more expensive than usual..16.50 for grown ups, and it asked me to reserve specific seating! Don't think this is the gold class session, but dunno! I picked the 6.30 session of the 3D movie.

Oh tickets are in the third row, back section.

That's nice of you guys, I really appreciate it, but I've already accepted so much off my mum, have to keep some of my pride! (that and I feel uber guilty!).

Besides, I have heaps of tidying and organising to do here! Gotta make room for the rest of my stuff that's still over at mum's place. I'd like for everything to be nice and tidy before Christmas.

So have a good time, and tell me all about it!! :D

Ugh, the choosing of seats rigmarole seems to be having issues on my compy. I might risk just getting a ticket there.

You actually have to pick a seat before it'll let you through that step. Can't skip it.

Indeed. There's something about the seat choosing page that looks a bit crazy - I take my usual stance and blame widescreen and vista. :p

    I'll need a printer for this won't I?
