Best Action Sequence in the Prequel Trilogy.

The best sequence for action and speed is the podrace in TPM. it's fast, cool and different. and it was nice to see a human do it. the sound design is superior and imaginable and the podracers all have their look and feel to them according to the driver. I love the part when they enter the cave and seeing the tusken raiders again on the desert.

The crashing of the pods was realistic and phenomenal to watch. I couldnt really tell those were fake. its so real. so different.


I also liked the naboo core underwater sequence. with those giant fish. but not as much as the podrace.


whats your favorite action sequences? there are tons in the PT. more than the OT actually.

 

QGJ & OB1 vs Maul

It's just so fast and frantic, plus Maul ha TWO BLADES!!! I nearly shat myself when I saw that scene the irst time.

 

I would also say the Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon vs. Darth Maul duel.

Moreover, I have always liked the shot in which the battle droid squadron walks into the Geonosis arena and the camera turns to show all the Jedi charging them.

 

The Jangovs. Obi-Wan fight in AOTC. The ground part, the space part wasn't as cool. Obi didn't even fight.

It's either duel of the fates, or mace's rescue party. i mean SO MANY JEDI.

 

The Battle of Geonosis. Whoa.

 

The Battle of Geonosis!!

 

Geonosis was by far the best scene in AOTC, and in the prequels. The best in TPM was the podracing scene.

 

The fight in the rain. It is the only truly fresh action scene--i.e. something almost entirely new--in the prequels ... if you except the pod race and the Arena. And I do. The podrace is ruined for me by its announcer, and the Arena by taking place in a poorly set-up and illogical third act. Otherwise, they might've excelled.

 

I wasn't a big fan of the pod race. I enjoyed the Geonosis arena. Qui/Obi/Maul was a great scene. My favorite, though, is Obi-Wan vs. Jango on Kamino. It's just cooler than the rest.

TPM: The lightning-fast Obi-Maul fight after QGJ is taken out.

Probably my favorite single shot is also in TPM, when Obi and QGJ kill all those battledroids and rescue the queen: QGJ slashes a battledroid, then in one motion, turns off his lightsaber and slams it onto his belt.

 

TPM: The Obi-Wan Qui Gon Maul fight is superior to almost any fight in any film. I also love the podrace. It is fast, sounds great turned up on your home theater system, and keeps your interest even though it's a long segment.

AOTC: The Geonosis Battle is the best ground battle of the saga.

 

The whole Maul vs Obi and QGJ.

Blue on Blue will top that, tho.

I promise.

 

I think the Chase Through Coruscant is up there. Brilliant action sequence. I think it's interesting and fun the whole way through with dialogue, character development and lots of action.

Well, I'd say the Coruscant Chase, followed very closely by the Geonosis arena. Just seeing all those lightsabers light up [face_drool]

If we are allowing for the Clone Wars cartoons though (which are in the PT era), I'd definately have to say the Tram Station Duel, with Jedi/Palps vs. Grievous/Magnagaurds. Definately the most thrilling action sequence yet

 

Yeah CW has some sweet action sequences. I love the Anakin/Ventress duel on Yavin.
