Josh Elliot is usually the instigator for 'instant replay' in every damn sport in existence. He drives me nuts. And when he talks playoffs for college football, I want to pile-drive him. Rather than simply report, he inputs a little bit too much of his own 'agenda' into the sports news with that smug damn look on his face.

I guess I'm saying that I don't like his reporting style very much. :p

Not surprising at all. Mariotti always did seem sleezy

He's always come off more as more pompous to me, than sleazy. Still, Around the Horn will seem very different if he's not on it anymore, which I'm going to assume considering ESPN's past with any of it's employees that have had brushes with the law, especially considering that it's a felony charge.

I agree, Mariotti is more pompous than sleazy. If he leaves ATH, then I won't have someone to root against. :p

Pompous and arrogant, definitely. Not so sure about sleazy.

    I won't miss him.

I'll miss him on ATH, but what a fool/idiot if he ended up doing something to his girlfriend like that.

Yeah, it's not so much that I'd miss him, just that the show will seem very different without him.

So not enough evidence to charge him with a felony... but enough evidence for 4 counts of misdemeanor domestic violence ... plus grand theft and vandalism? And false imprisonment?

What was that? Top plays tonight were terrible. The hosts literally mocked everything in the list

A quote from Charles Barkley, from The Huffington Post, concerning ESPN's coverage of Miami's training camp:

"They have definitely crossed the line and this is unprecedented,...........This is unprecedented ass kissing."

I just realized that we have another ESPN thread, and my post concerning Barkley's quote probably should have gone in there.:p

Did you ever see that one scene in, I want to say Mr. Saturday Night, when Billy Crystal takes the flabby underside of his aunt's arms between two pieces of bread and acts like he's going to bite into it like a sandwich? :p
