Best: Duel of the Fates (obviously)

AOTC:

Best: Obi Wan vs Jango Fett space battle with seismic charges
Worst: "I don't like sand..." *ugh* *cringe*

ROTS:

Best: I'm actually going to go with when the jedi confront Sidious. Changed the tone of the movie.
Worst: "If you're not with me..." *ugh* *cringe* and anything having to do with younglings.

ANH:

Best: Battle of Yavin (obviously)
Worst: The death star's old computers and cheesy 70's hair cuts.

ESB:

Best: So many great choices but will go with the Hoth battle.
Worst: Luke and Leia smooching knowing what we know now...

ROTJ:

Best: Luke vs Vader & Palpatine
Worst: Ewoks killing storm troopers with rocks? WTF?!?!

TFA:

Best: Ending scene with Rey finding Luke.
Worst: Death Star Starkiller base destruction planning session *ugh* *cringe*

ezekiel22x why didn't you like the Tatooine duel?

 

Mostly because it comes across as a bit under-cooked compared to all the saber stuff from the rest of the film. I know it's just supposed to be a quick skirmish that sets up the big duel, but still, I guess I expect a bit more from the first time Jedi are going up against a Sith in a long time.

Worst: - "Ooh mooey mooey I love you! " - Opening scene with Jar Jar








AotC:
Best: - Battle of Geonosis it's pretty cool!


Worst: - a fairly tough choice but this part: "From the moment I met you, all those years ago, not a day has gone by when I haven't thought of you. And now that I'm with you again... I'm in agony. The closer I get to you, the worse it gets. The thought of not being with you- I can't breath. I'm haunted by the kiss that you should never have given me. My heart is beating... hoping that kiss will not become a scar. You are in my very soul, tormenting me... what can I do?- I will do anything you ask. "













RotS:
Best: - Pretty tough!...Order 66...from Mace and Co confronting Sidious to the completion of Order 66, The Music + Scenes (minus the youngling part) is pretty dark and epic.


Worst: Definitely "From my Point of View the Jedi are Evil!" - Hours after Slaughtering Children.......





ANH:
Best: - Death Star rescue / escape scene.


Worst: - probably "Watch your mouth, kid, or you're gonna find yourself floating home! We'll be safe enough once we make the jump to hyperspace. Besides, I know a few maneuvers. We'll lose 'em." .......doesn't do any Maneuvers.....






ESB:
Best: - Obviously the whole Luke vs Vader Bespin Scene



Worst: - Now we know what we know, the worst scene is defnitley the Luke + Leia kiss scene.....




RotJ:
Best: - Ending Scene with Palpatine, Luke and Vader (probably my favourite scene of the entire Sage)

Best: - Tough one....probably a Tie between the opening Scene with Ren's Introduction / Stopping a blaster Bolt Mid Air and the Final scene of StarKiller Base, when Rey Force Pulls the Lightsaber to her and Binary Sunset plays, it gives me goosbumps!



Worst: - "You got a boyfriend, Cute Boyfriend?" ....cringe.....

 

that's understandable . It was a very brief encounter. Less than what you would expect from the re-emergence of the Sith .

That moment is amazing. I got chills when she grabbed the saber and the music started playing

 

I got chills, too, but for a different reason. It was the theme played when Luke discovered the burning remains of his uncle and aunt. My instantaneous first thought was: So that's how the Force awakens, with anger and hate?

That wasn't the music that played when Luke watched the binary sunset, it was the music that played when Luke discovered the smoldering remains of his aunt and uncle in ANH.

 

What when she grabs the Saber???

I do not recall at what moment precisely during Rey's duel with Kylo the "Death of Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen" theme variation was heard, but it was the first time in the theater I noticed this original ANH Williams score louder and more dominantly than any other music previously in the film.

 

oh ok, I didn't notice, Binary sunset plays when she grabs the Saber for sure, will have to wait til DVD release before listening out for the other themes during the duel

 

Yeah, that scene uses part of the Burning Homestead track from ANH.

It's not a new variation, they just reused the old track. They also cut off the climax with the Imperial theme, which really hurts the impact of the music.

Which then must have been a deliberate decision. And to convey what impression exactly to the audience? The music of the burning homestead has become synonymous with the protagonist's anger and hate (usually leading to the dark side, Filoni just emphasized this in the latest Rebels episode).

So the use of that particular theme in that particular scene begs for an explanation, IMHO, especially given the movie's title The Force Awakwens.

 

I think the justification was that the death of Luke's aunt and uncle was what spurred him to leave Tatooine and learn about the force.

It doesn't quite work when applied to Rey's situation, as she's already learnt about the force and left her home for an adventure.

 

I think that theme would have been perfect following Solo's death, but maybe the Force now does awaken with anger and hate?

Worst: I really don't know if I can pinpoint an entire scene that I consider the worst. Mainly little moments (most of them involving Jar Jar - stepping in poop, being made general, etc.)
Attack of the Clones
Best: Obi-Wan vs. Jango
Worst: Difficult to pick just one, but I would say the dinner (with the pear)/fireplace scene. Just so cringe worthy.
Revenge of the Sith
Best: The Immolation Scene
Worst: Anakin trying to woo Padme
A New Hope
Best: Binary Sunset
Worst: Can't think of one, though I don't like the little moments before the destruction of Alderaan when Leia uses a British accent. Special Edition: The Krayt Dragon Scream/Artoo behind rocks.
The Empire Strikes Back
Best: Luke vs. Vader
Worst: Luke and Leia Kissing
Return of the Jedi
Best: Really the entire 10+ minutes of Luke, the Emperor, and Vader from when Luke meets the Emperor until Anakin's death.
Worst: Most of the Ewok fighting during the land battle (throwing rocks at the stormtroopers namely). Special Edition: Vader - "No. NOOOO!"
