It was tempting, but I resisted the urge. Probably a good thing after the threads on it blew up. SotS didn't put it up, I did. He caught crap for making light of the situation by switching between all the joke banners I had sitting around quickly one after the other. Good lord, the number of PMs I got because of the pair of you some times. I could at least take comfort in the fact that Vert's inbox would have been stuffed with more. While all the mods were busy with the initial trouble of these threads I was removing all the old Halloween stuff and then in the test forums playing with other banners. I didn't know until someone sent me a PM about it all. The funny thing, after reading all through those threads again, the only thing that I ended up changing was the highlight colour. Everyone was complaining about the "OMG BRIGHT COLORS!!!" without even thinking that we'd just had a week of dark red, orange and black banners for Halloween and it was affecting their perception. This was actually the first banner for general use that stepped out of the old style of CSS that was very generic across the forums. And people get annoyed when I make a few comments about some banners now, yet look at the kinds of things I had to deal with for almost every single banner I put up. All of that said, it's nice to see one of the old banners back. You now just have to put the java header stuff into it so they appear. From November 2002 until about March 2003.
