Where are the best bars and clubs located in NZ and what are the names of these establishments?

depends where you are and what you are doing really......do you mean student pubs, high class joints, or country pubs?

 

Don't go to Finnegans Irish Pub in Prebbleton (near Chch) due to Dippy nakedness.

If in Christchurch suggest you try the dux de lux for a student pub, also brew their own beer wich is very yummy and have yummy vego food!

For somewhere classy try the millennium hotel on friday or saturday nights with live Jazz and table service.

Also Sammies jazz review great music and a large outdoor area.

Holy Grail in Chch is a great place to watch a live fotty game in - was an old movie theater and is a 3 level bar with a "grand stand".

//has yet to watch a footy game there however//

Apparently the Grumpy Mole in Chch is good too.

dunedin has the classic student pubs, if that is what you want:
start off at the gardies, have a crate
next to the to the Cook garden bar, then to Upstairs, followed by a trip to the Bowler.......at this point you can choose to go the loungebar way, or to Bath Street... or the cesspit of scum, known as KC's

then wake up in a strangers bed with no clothes to speak of

 

ha - that reminds me of a mate of mine.

Last week - there was a 70's thing at the Local pub in Lincoln. anyhoo.

4:30 Craig wakes up in a padock (other side of lincoln) in nothing but his boxers and socks. Not knowing where he is - he runs around (half naked remember) through multiple dead end streets (at 4:30am remember) until he comes to a place he recognises (still in a drunken state) and begins the walk/jog back to lincoln.

Next day him and a few others went back to try and find clothes etc.

Clothes = in a ditch about 20m from where he slept.
Wallet = gone.
Keys = gone.
Friends Student ID card he was holding on to = Gone.



ah, the student life at lincoln. And we still dont know who took him to the padock, stripped him off (or did hew strip himself off) or who took his wallet.
