How bout when Princess Leia shoots the AT-ST Driver while he is still exposed out of the hatch at the start of the Battle of Endor in ROTJ. I bet he didn't expect that coming.

Another from ROTJ on Endor is when Luke leaps onto the speeder and throws the Scout Trooper off causing him to hit a tree and yell HELP......

did you know that was a cameo by Ben Burt, the sound designer
for the original movies, and one of the editers of the
    prequels?

Has to be Vader's. My cousin was almost crying:_| when she knew he was about to die. I told her a surprise would be waiting for her at the end of the movie:confused: . When it showed ObiWan and Yoda as holograms, Then when they looked to their side, She was almost crying with tears of joy:_|:) . Luckily I couldn't see them ;)

yoda's death was very emotional because it is good to know he died of natural causes, proves he truly was the best !! It was also pretty funny to see jabba's face when leia choked the slime out of him !! [face_laugh] =D=

    Yea Jabbas is pretty good.

Obi-Wans was alright, I just don't see how he just disappeared...You hafta die first...Vader just swiped him and he vanished. You would have thought he would have split in two like Maul and struggle to stay alive for a day or two. I mean they even had to burn Qui-Gons body what gives!?

Vader probably has the best death..just because its so emotional. Too bad he had to be a old pruney white guy. He should have looked more evil...that face behind the mask just doesn't fit for me...oh well. Whatcha goin do!?!?!?

Obi Wan's definately. Vader's total hatred when he strikes, Obi Wan calmness (like Qui Gon in TPM) and selflessness when he sacrifices himself and then Luke's reaction - no contest and it is actually made a lot stronger now that SITH is out. Yoda's probably comes second.

The Rancor. It seemed believable - for a puppet, that is.

As for a main character with some intelligence, I would have to say
Obi-Wan. I hope I can smile like that, knowing I'm going to die five
    seconds later.

Lando Calrissian, coming out of the DS II. Lucas shoulda kept that scene.

That reminded me of another "death scene" that I like...

When Luke jumps off his speeder to avoid being killed, and the scout trooper loops around and comes back to finish him off. Luke ignites his lightsaber, deflects a shot or two, and then slices the front end of the speeder off as it passes him. The speeder then goes into an uncontrolled spin and crashes into a tree, killing the scout trooper.

That was a cool scene. :)

Not neccessarily the BEST death but when Vader kills Ozzel on the bridge of the Executor on the original videotapes if you watch him in the background as the techs are lifting him up for one second you can see him actually gain some leverage so to prevent the techs from having to lift dead weight. You can almost see him take a step before he disappears from the scene. I don't know if this was edited in the dvd's (Hmmm have to watch now...) but a nice little blooper that I caught early on. Now I'll have to watch my videos and make sure it's Ozzel.

I caught that one too Sid_Vader.

In fact, I actually thought that Needa ("apology accepted Captain Needa") had survived and had simply copped a tortuous winding or something.

It is indeed still in the DVDs
