Mine shall always be the way Dooku uses Force lighting to wipe the floor with Anakin. I like that the Elder attempts to humble the arrogant brat.

Okay, it's still my personal answer to the question I didn't know it was an OT thread. For OT Yoda and the X-Wing.

These aren't the droids you're looking for.

The moment that showed us the Force has far more finess and not just raw power, for those who have mastered it.

"That is why you fail". My answer before I even saw the choices.
Seeing Yoda move that ship for the first time just blew my mind. I still get that feeling today. The quiet, serene power revealed in that scene... I just love it.

My personal favorite in the OT is Luke levitating Threepio above the Ewok camp on Endor. It still holds up (every pun intended) as both funny and cool.

    Yoda raising the X-Wing.

For the first time, we see how powerful Yoda truly is (and not talking about no lightsaber froggy flipping stuff neither yo lol). This little guy is raising a ship out of a swamp for all of us to see. And may I add that the John Williams score is PERFECT here. Absolutely perfect. The man deserves so much credit for what makes SW great.

The scenes of Yoda training Luke on Dagobah in TESB are among my favourite in the whole saga. Just about perfection on film on every conceivable level. So I voted for 'that is why you fail'.

Oh, I like so many of these, so I can't choose.

I'll just add a quote I found chilling when I saw the title of this thread.

"Luke, you switched off your targeting computer. What's wrong?"
    "Nothing. I'm alright."

    **** just got real.

I can't say that I agree with that even though I say this to people who come to my office at the most hectic moments, "This is not the office you are looking for".
The Jedi Mind Trick only works on the weak minded. The Force deserves a higher honor than simply playing tricks on the simple minded.

Classic Trilogy - Definitely, Yoda raising the X-Wing. It is a moment where you forget to blink in complete amazement. As Obi Wan once said, "The force is an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together." To utilize this extraordinary power to it's full potential is shown by the great Jedi Master Yoda raising the X-Wing.

ESB- Luke reaches out to Leia. Not very action-packed or spectacular, I know; but it was damn powerful. Here's Luke having been soundly defeated, injured, and given the shock of his life regarding his lineage. He's dangling on a weather vane miles above the planet surface- he's at rock bottom. He calls out to Ben. Kenobi does not appear, at this point in the movie, it seems even the Force has abandoned him. But then he reaches out to Leia who hears him and John Williams gives us the most sweeping rendition of the Force theme in the saga, all against the backdrop of the setting Bespin sun. It's good stuff.

But if you want epic Force usage, my fav is how Luke goes full-on Jedi over the Sarlacc Pit. He's on the gang plank, Jabba thinks he's got this in the bag- then Luke jumps, Artoo ejects the lightsaber to his waiting hand, the green blade bursts forth, and- again- John Williams belts out one of the best action cues in the saga (I give a lot of props to JW making the saga amazing, if you didn't figure that out yet) as all hell breaks loose and Luke takes out the guards in a manner never-before seen in SW up to that point.

I love that scene watching Chewbacca reacting to Luke going on the offensive with the lightsaber

Yoda removing the X-Wing from the swamp water is the most beautiful use of the Force in the Saga, and a great example of music helping to tell the story.

Gotta go with Yoda raising the X-wing from the swamp. So beautiful and magical. Yoda's preceding lines "Luminous beings are we...", "For my ally is the Force..." may be my very favorite lines in the whole saga.

First place: Luke in the trench run.

Honorable mention: Obi-Wan disappearing into thin air as his enemy is about to strike him down and subsequently speaking to Luke from beyond

I think mine would have to go with Luke calling his lightsaber to him in the wampa cave. It's the start of how powerful we realize the Force really is. Later on, Yoda goes further in depth.
