Best level ever made!!!!!!

What is the truly the best level ever made on any game?

 

Guess the most fun I've gotten out of any level is Q2DM1.

 

The final level of the human campaign of the Warcraft II expansion is great ? there?s virtually no hope of killing all the enemies on the map, and it?s just a question of whether you can destroy the Portal before you?re overrun.

The Gall level on Shadows of the Empire.

 

You did not enjoy the Water Temple? How is that possible?

 

The worst part of that level IMO was Dark Link, I didn't know about the Megaton Hammer weakness when I first did it, and had to go through about half an hour of perfectly symetrical violence and three fairies to win. That, and I also hated having to constantly change the water levels.

 

Exactly why the Water Temple is so memorable.

 

The last level of Shadows of the Empire, The Skyhook. Best damn space combat I have ever played.

 

Corneria in Star Fox 64 was awesome.

The final fight with Ganon in Wind Waker was badass.

The swoop level in Jedi Academy was exciting.

 

In Dues Ex1, where you meet your brother in his apartment and the Men In Black come to arrest you.


There were so many different ways for it to end, it was crazy.

 

Dark Link is not difficult to beat. Just hack and slash, and change your strikes every once in a while. Once you've killed the first one, turn around and you can quickly kill the second one, and so on.

 

Vengance on Something-Or-Other in Rogue Squadron 2. Great level.

 

Yes, i agree. I wasn't even aware that there WAS a megaton hammer weakness..

Anywho: I always liked ShadowMan's level in "Megaman 3", as well as MetalMan's level in "Megaman 2".

The Omaha Beach level of "Medal of Honor: Allied Assault".

The Fire Temple in "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time".

The level where you're betrayed in "Tie Fighter". Always thought it was so cool that, for once, calling for reinforcements was actually a requirement to completeling the level. How long could YOU stay alive in that Tie Interceptor? Also, of course, the levels where Darth Vader is your wingman are ridiculously cool.

Any of the Vasudan carrier levels in "Freespace 2". What a cool race.

"Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom": The mission where you and Vagabond are sent to shoot down Captain Eisen. Few moments in videogames actually make you feel as immersed in the world as when Vagabond comms you, letting you know that he will not fire on the Captain and is, instead, defecting. Having the choice of either going with him or shooting him down...Wow.. That moment just drops your jaw. It's too bad that the developers didn't go all out and actually create for you an entire second-branch of the storyline that DID see you complete the game still a member of Confed.

 

Another one I'd like to add is the level retaking Red Square in Call of Duty.

 

death tower in flashback will always hold a special place in my heart. as well as the mana fortress in secret of mana.

 

I found Dark Link to be a horribly difficult villain and the temple was so frustrating and intricate, but those all made it so fun.

all the levels where your master chief in halo 2 (i like destroyingthe scarab).
