Lit Best Lightsaber duel of all time (so far)?

Yeah I don't think anyone was really satisfied by the Caedus/Kyle duel, but it was alright I suppose, especially seeing as Kyle was sick that day and had just taken down a horde of Sith beforehand .

 

Caedus cheated - he used a speeder!

 

He got put down really easily for a lightsaber intstructer by young Vader. He doesn't deserve a novel..

 

When had Kyle taken down a horde of Sith?

 

Sadly, no contemporary account survives; it's simply a logical inference, based upon our knowledge of Katarn and an application of Occam's Razor, that such a battle transpired.

I really thought that the Jaina vs. Jacen match up would have been so much more epic than it really was. It was tense, but I think Luke vs. Caedus was better.

 

I was joking.

I thought Jaina vs Caedus was awful. Putting aside my dislike for Vader 2.0, it was abundantly clear that he trumped her. For the final confrontation to work he had to be distracted and wounded from an earlier encounter for her to stand a chance.

 

And really, it wasn't all Jaina that wounded him. Luke was able to pour his power into Jaina, basically making it Luke and Jaina vs. Caedus. Caedus actually thought he was fighting Luke, correct? Like, Luke somehow placed his image onto Jaina's? I can't quite remember. It's been a little while.

 

Yeah I don't have my copy on Invincible but Luke was doing something to mess with Caedus mind during the duel, and after kept making it so that Caedus thought Luke was coming for him. Luke's just a boss like that. Fighting Sith Lord's from across the galaxy.

 

I thought that that was cool what Luke was doing. With the hiding Jaina by making Caedus think that he was fighting Luke. Also wasn't Luke affecting (right one?) the force to throw Caedus for a loop on other things? I liked that. Why don't people like that? I've read comments from people that Invincible Luke was horrible

 

The last few books of that series showed me just how boss Luke really is.

 

Luke in Inferno and Invincible was the best. I might not care for the way the Post NJO galaxy has gone or Denning but Luke was amazing in those two books.

 

Luke was indeed playing mind games with Caedus throughout Invincible. I don't think it was just during the duel though, I'm pretty sure he was projecting throughout the book, causing hopelessness and paranoia in Caedus.

 

Luke could have easily defeated Caedus, but he wouldn't, due to his fear of falling to the dark side, and a dark side Luke would be the most frightening thing ever.

 

Yoda: Dark Rendevous seemed to be hinting that a Dark Side Yoda would be far more frightening even than Palpatine.

 

I want a series centuries or millennia in the future with a Yoda type alien who is evil in charge of galaxy

 

I've often wondered what a duel between Anakin Skywalker and Darth Maul would be like. I can see that being insanely epic.

I forgot about that duel. One of my favorites.

 

I'm sad to say that I've never read any of the comics.

 

That was SW Tales actually...while it may have been in comic format, I remember it as a graphic novel. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Or rather, I remember them as Graphic Novels. There was way more than just one collection of the things.

 

They were published in comic book format, and then collected (semi-annually?) as a graphic novel.

 

I knew I was at least partially right.
