Best line in PT?

"Oh. This is going to be easy..."

 

1. "Learn to know the Dark Side of the Force and you will achieve a power greater than any Jedi." Ian at his best.

2. Anything Darth Maul said.

3."You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them." Made me teary eyed.

4. "I HATE YOU!" - Scary as hell.

 

"At Last we will reveal ourselves to the jedi, at last we will have revenge!" - maul. EPIC

"Why do I get the feeling you're going to be the death of me?" - obi wan. pretty much sums up the whole saga rofl.

"What took you so long? - obi "Oh you know, master, i was trying to find the right speeder, one with an open cockpit and hte right speed capabilities" - Anakin. i love the way he delievers that line

"I think we lost something" - obi wan at the beginning of ROTS

"If so powerful you are, why leave" - YODA

 

"Dreams pass in time"--Obi-Wan

"It may be hard to secure your release"-- Count Dooku

"R4 send a signal care of the opld folks home."

 

Easy

"The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural" - Palpatine

 

In the Geonosis arena, full of angry Geonosians who want to see some blood.

Obi-wan, who is chained to a pillar awaiting execution- "Anakin, what are you doing here?"

Anakin, as he and Padme are being chained to two other pillars-" We transmitted the message and then we decided to rescue you."

Obi-wan looking at their surrondings, delievered completely deadpan-"Good Job!"

Cracks me up ever time. We needed more humor like this and the banter at the begining of ROTS and less Jar-Jar and Threepio comic relief.

 

"A communications disruption can only mean one thing. Invasion." - Sio Bibble

Always found this a really powerful line in TPM. Not the best in the PT, but one that hasn't been mentioned yet.

Best line of the PT?
"Everything here is so soft, and smooth."


No, actually, I like Obi-Wan's line, "Dreams past in time."

 

Sadly, some of the best dialogue (not the best, but some of the best) was cut from the final films. Here's one of my favorite cut lines from Dooku in Episode II (along with the lines that set it up, so it makes sense to anyone not familiar with it):


DOOKU: Brave, but foolish, my old friend. You're impossibly outnumbered.

MACE: I don't think so. The Geonosians aren't warriors. One Jedi has to be worth a hundred Geonosians.

DOOKU: It wasn't the Geonosians I was thinking about. How well do you think one Jedi will hold up against a
thousand Battle Droids?


That line would have really helped develop the more menacing side of Dooku's personality, not to mention make the ensuing fight easier to believe. The first time I saw Episode II, I was surprised droids beat Jedi, but if you think about it in terms of one to one thousand odds, it's more believable.

Here's one of my favorite cut lines from Obi-Wan in Episode III (again, with set up):


GRIEVOUS: You fool. I have been trained in your Jedi arts by Count Dooku. Attack, Kenobi.

OBI-WAN: You forget I trained the Jedi that defeated Count Dooku!


I can really imagine Ewan McGregor delivering this line to his typical sardonic effect. I imagine him saying it rather calmly, probably dropping the word "Count," to make the pacing better, and putting the most emphasis on the word "trained." Considering how easily Obi-Wan dealt with Grievous' lightsaber attacks (he only gets in trouble later in the battle when neither combatant has a lightsaber), this line would have perfectly set up the anticlimax of Grievous trying to play Jedi against (arguably) the greatest knight of them all.

 

The line which pretty much sums up the prequel trilogy...

"At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi, at last we will have revenge."

 

Best line: Your focus determines your reality.

Best line delivery: Anakin is the father, isn't he? I'm so sorry.

 

Absolutely; the PT equivalent of "I love you!" "I know."

 

This, and...

"What about Padme?"

"She seems to be on top of things."

 

For me it's "You were my brother Anakin! I loved you."- Obi-Wan. Sometimes I find myself saying to my friends lol.

 

I dunno. I get more chills from one of the deliveries just prior to this - "Padme... I must find him." McGregor never sounded or seemed more like Alec Guinness than in this moment. For me, this was the point the two portrayals merged - the point where the Obi-Wan we knew in the OT and the younger version we saw in the PT were realised as the same character.

 

Wipe them out. All of them them! - Darth Sidious

 

"KORAAAAAHHHHHH RAHTAMAAAAAHHHH!"


Best PT lines hands down!

 

There are many that are great lines...in all six episodes...But I love the AOTC line Obi-Wan says to Dex...

"Well, if droids could THINK, there'd be none of us here, would there?"


I've always thought about that-what would happen if the droids throughout the Galaxy "revolted." Then, just a couple of years later, we hear Obi-Wan say this!

 

Wasn't there a comic called Droids: Rebellion? lol

never read it myself.

 

Favorite lines out of the PT, like, everything Ewan says, everything Ian says, everything Yoda says, everything 3PO says. Man, there is so so much. So much great delivery there too.

But one of my all time favorites, one that should go down in history...

"Chancellor Palpatine, Sith Lords are our specialty." Obi-wan, god, can there be anything more awesome.

You know, for a bunch of movies universally known for their crappy diologue, there are some pretty awesome lines in SW.

 

"Yippeeeeeee!!"

 

Oh, so many!

AotC:
Obi-Wan: I was beginning to wonder if you'd got my message.
Anakin: I retransmitted it to Coruscant, just as you'd requested, Master. Then we decided to come and rescue you.
Obi-Wan: (looks at his handcuffed hands) Good job. ]

Mace Windu: This party's over.

C-3PO: DIE, Jedi dogs. Oh... what did I say? (<-- BEST! Haha!)

C-3PO: Oh my goodness! Shut me down. Machines building machines. How perverse.

C-3PO: What's all this? A battle? There must be some mistake! I'm programmed for etiquette, not destruction!

Anakin: Trust me.
Obi-Wan: It's too risky.
Obi-Wan: Besides, your senses aren't that attuned, my young apprentice.
Anakin: And yours are?
Obi-Wan: Possibly. (<-- I love the way he says that)

RotS:

[deprived of his lightsaber, Obi-Wan kills General Grievous with the general's own blaster]
Obi-Wan: [throws the gun away] Uh! So uncivilized.

Anakin Skywalker: You turned her against me!
Obi-Wan Kenobi: You have done that yourself.
Anakin Skywalker: You will not take her from me!
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Your anger and lust for power have already done that.

Obi-Wan: You were the chosen one! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them. You were to bring balance to the force, not leave it in darkness.
Anakin: [shouts] I hate you.
Obi-Wan: You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you.

I loved the line... "Hello There" when he jumped down to face Grvious

 

"Another happy landing!"

I love the way Obi-Wan/Ewan says it after landing half of a spaceship

"We lost something"
"Never mind, we are still flying half a ship!"
