Best line in ROTS

You were the Chozn1!

That line hit me hard more after seeing the DVD than it did even in the theaters.

 

Yup, "You were the chosen one!" by Obi and the rest of that scene in my sig. Rips the guts out every time, and the emotion and acting by both Ewan and Hayden in that scene, just great! Best moment in ROTS if not all of Star Wars, IMO. Just ahead of "I am your father" by Vader in TESB.

 

"This is where the fun begins". A perfect tie-in to Han's line in ANH.

 

Anakin: I won't leave without you Master!

Anakin: His fate will be the same as ours.

Obi-Wan's "You Were The Chosan one" speach.

Obi-Wan: Besides somebody needs to be the poster-boy.

Anakin: LIAR!

Anakin: You've turned her against me!

Obi-Wan: Oh it's you!
Anakin: What's going on here?
Obi-Wan: Well R2-
Anakin: Hey no loose wire jokes.
Obi-Wan: Did I say Anything?
Anakin: He's trying.
Obi-Wan: I didn't say anything!

Is my favorite.

 

"No...NO...YOU WILL DIE!!!!!"

 

I still think that, "You were the Chosen One," captures the essence of the entire trilogy if not all six films. It speaks volume of the love lost and fractured galaxy that was a result of Anakin's decisions.

 

Anakin: "General Grievous...you're taller than I expected." Cocky

 

Don't make me destroy you.

 

"So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause"
I thought this was the best line from Padme in all 3 movies. Maybe because the acting wasn't as flat, but it also shows how Padme really feels. Also, the look on her and Bail's face just shows their frustration really well.

 

"HAve you noticed the shield is still up?!"

Obi-Wan briefly begins to panic for the only time is his entire existence. Then leaps out of his ship and cuts 4 droids to shreds in seconds.

"YOu're with him! You brought him here to kill me!"

"Let her go, Anakin! Let her go!"

 

Try this on for size...

"Anakin, come closer."

It says so much about the relationship between Anakin and Palpatine here, and in fact, Vader and Sidious in the OT. And it's just such an insidious line! Yes... come to me, my prey!

 

How about this little gem by Bail Organa when ordered by Clone Troopers to leave? ... "and so it is"



really corny line, but Smitts delivers it to perfection. Bail s just great in ROTS. To bad they cut the scenes with Bail, Mon Mothma & Padme

I think this is one of the catchier lines also. I think it might be how the soundtrack plays along with it.

 

They should have put in my line idea.
Obi-Wan: You have allowed this dark lord to twist your mind until now... until now you have become the very thing you swore to destroy. I'm disgusted at you.
Anakin: Don't lecture me Obi-Wan. I see through all the lies of the Jedi. All of them. I do not fear the dark side as you do.

That is actually a very cool line.

Many of the critics of star wars point at bad and unnatural lines as the reason for their dislike of Star Wars. What they don't get is that it is a cartoonish kind of universe, were good and evil is clearly defined.

 

Which line do you mean? The one I thought up where Obi-Wan Kenobi says "I can't believe what you've done Anakin Skywalker. Or should I call you Darth Vader?", or the movie line where Obi-Wan says "He was deceived by a lie Padme, we all were. It appears the chancellor is behind everything, including the war. Palpatine is the Sith lord we've been looking for. After the death of Count Dooku, Anakin became his new apprentice". ?

 

Best Line- "Somebody Set Up Us The Bomb!"

"Agh!"- Said by various Clone Troopers
