Best line in ROTS

I am talking generally. I've heard people talk about Star Wars as dialogue without real emotion or bad delivery of lines.

 

the best line in the movie i think is: "Anakin, you're breaking my heart :'( "

 

Nope.

"Goooooood" That one word out of Sidious' mouth was chilling.

 

"You were my brother Anakin, I loved you."

 

"Good Anakin, good, kill him. Kill him now." just the way Palpatine said it.

 

There is a line that is quiet good, but the line itself is not the best part of it. The best part is the expression on Obi's face when Padme says the following...


"Your going to kill him aren't you?"

 

yes that is a really good scene where obi-wan and padme talk in her veranda, i also like this line: "Obi-Won was right you've changed!"

 

How about when Palpatine says to Anakin "It is just natural. Count Dooku cut off your arm and you wanted revenge. That wasn't the first time Anakin. Remember what you told me about your mother, and the Sand People?".

 

There are so many pithy sayings I'm fond of in the film, but here's a few:

"Your swords, please. We don't want to make a mess of things in front of the Chancellor."

"You must trust me to do the right things, Senator -- that is why I am here . . . I've said, I will do what is right. That should be enough for your -- committee."

"I understand your reservations completely, Senator, and I assure you, the appointment of governors will in no way compete with the duties of the Senate".

"I want this terrible conflict to end -- just as much as you do, my lady. And when it does, I can guarantee an immediate return to democracy."

"Send a message to the ships of the Trade Federation: All droid units must shut down. Immediately!"

"I hope you trust me, Anakin." -- Palpatine

"I'm depending on you . . . to be the eyes, ears, and voice, of the Republic...."

"I would worry about the collective wisdom of the council, if it didn't select you for this assignment. You're the best choice, by far."

 

Or another line someone mentioned in another thread.

Sounds innocent enough, but when you think about it, then it is actually very creepy.

"Anakin, come closer" - Said by Palpatine in the theatre.

 

My favorie ROTS line:

"It's treason then."

 

"I'll take Baby Luke with me to Tatooine and watch over him" - Obi-Wan Kenobi.

 

Personally, I liked, (from ROTS Novelisation),
"Fool! Count Dooku has trained me in your Jedi arts!"
"What a coincidence, I trained the man who killed him!"

"You were the Chosen One! You were supposed to destroy the Sith, not join them! You were supposed to bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness!"

There are many of course - Palpatine has a lot of them.
I like:
"Power! Unlimited power!"
and many more of Palpatine's lines.
Also
"Good. Twice the pride, double the fall!" by Dooku. I just think it's a good comeback.

 

I enjoyed R2's beep line.

 

Actually in the book it's even cooler.

"I have been trained in your Jedi arts by Darth Tyranus"
"Oh, you must mean Count Dooku - I trained the man that killed him"

 

Nope. IMO, that was poor, though necessary.

I assume this was removed b/c a Jedi wouldn't brag about the death of someone. Especially a former member of the Order.

 

I rewatched it last night and remembered other solid favorites:

"We are still flying half a ship."

"Hello, there."
