Best line in the OT

Yep, I agree. The single most defining moment of Luke and arguably the entire SW series.

 

I think it was already said, but it's always been a favorite of mine, it's in my signature and I have it on my fb page...

"Luminous beings are we...not this crude matter."

I think it's easy to overlook it in that scene, but it's a great line.

...I'm kind of surprised that this hasn't turned into full-on movie quoting, with all the good lines in the trilogy.

I've always loved this line.When Sidious says this, you know Luke is defenceless and weak and death seems inevitable.The suspense is perfect and what makes it even better is how Sidious delivers the statement in that eerie, intimidating voice of his.Of course we all know Vader heroicly gets a change of heart andsaves the day which makes it epic XD

I can't believe no one has said this yet:

I mean, he just says everything that's on the character's minds, and slips in a life lesson, one of the most important you could ever learn! This has got to be the best quote of all time, in anything.

These lines just say everything you need to know about these characters.
