What was some of the best lines spoken the the prequels that will soon become classic lines in time:

Here is my favorite from Yoda from the Phantom Menance:

"Fear leads to the darkside, fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering".

I'm also a fan of what seems to be Obi-Wan's catchphrase in the prequels: "I don't think so!" along with his signature lightsaber "ready stance".

    "Don't try it."

Obi-Wan knows what's gonna happen. We know what's gonna happen. Anakin doesn't.

That's what makes it so sweet :D

Jango: Always a pleasure to meet a Jedi.

You just know there is a backstory waiting to be revealed.

This is my favourite quotation, too. It perfectly sums the saga -- and humanity -- up.

    Some choice others:

"Be mindful of the Living Force, my young padawan."

"Have you ever encountered a Jedi Knight before?"

"At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge."

"And now they will elect a new Chancellor. A strong Chancellor. One who will not let our tragedy continue."

    "Revealed, your opinion is!"

"And you, young Skywalker. We shall watch your career with great interest."

"Why do I get the feeling that you're going to be the death of me?"

"I killed them. They're dead. Every single one of them. And not just the men. But the women and the children, too. They're like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals."

"More happening on Geonosis, I think..." (reminds of the Shakespeare-derived phrase: "Something rotten in Denmark")

"Twice the pride, double the fall."

    "Not from a Jedi."

    "I am the Senate!"

"I have waited a long time for this moment, my little green friend!"

"You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you."

"Anakin is the father, isn't he?...I'm so sorry..."

I love that line, it's so tragic.

I love another line from that scene:

    "He's in grave danger."
    "From the Sith?!"
    "From himself."

    Beautiful.

I also like another of Palpatine's lines (in AOTC):

"I realise that additional security may be disruptive for you..."

Now think how that applies in the future -- i.e. the Empire ("for a safe and secure society") and the Death Star.

The whole back and forth between Anakin/Vader and Obi-Wan on Mustafar, starting with Anakin yelling "You turned her against me!"

For some reason, the one part of it that strikes me though is "I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new Empire." It really hits at that moment he is 100% gone to me, for some reason.

Padme's line "So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause." That gave me shivers.

Probably Padme's line about liberty dying to thunderous applause (see PadwanKayla's post). Gave me the shivers as well especially since it was so apt for the times.

Also love Qui-Gon's "I will do what I must, Obi-Wan."

    Padme's "I don't believe you. I can't." Oh, there's desolation in that one.

"The ability to speak does not make you intellegent." [face_love]

Dialouge between Yoda and Darth Sidious:

    "Master Yoda........You Survived..." Sidious
    "Surprised?" Yoda

"If so powerful are you...Why leave?" Yoda

"At last the Jedi are no more." Sidous

"Not if anything to say about it...I have!" Yoda

    And then the infamous Palpatine.....

"Are you threatning me Master Jedi?" (That's probably my all time favorite line, and scene)

    "I AM THE SENATE!"

"Then it's treason then." (Said very cool and calmly)

But I also like this one quite a bit. Some people don't though, and think it was unecessary. It would be my second all time favorite line.

"It seems this contest can not be decided by our knowledge of the force, but with our skills, with a lightsaber." Count Dooku

"Agree with you the council does, your apprentice Skywalker will be..."

    "Your move."

    "Take a seat...Young Skywalker."

    "Die Jedi Dogs!!!"

    "I'm a Jedi, I know I'm better than this."

"The Republic will be re-organised into the first Galactic Empire"

"The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be...unnatural."

    "We'll handle this."

    "This party's over."

    "Wipe them out...all of them."

And so many more...you know, for a series of films that's supposed to have poor dialogue, it sure has a lot of great lines.

Ewan has some of the best lines in the whole series! I love all of his one liners, and the more serious stuff, like the aformentioned Anakin is the father....Is delivered with such emotion that it sometimes gives me goosebumps.

But I have to say, what sums it up for me, plain and simple is "Anakin Skywalker, meet Obi-Wan Kenobi" That is the start of it for me...

Hee, know what else I like, always makes me laugh? The way Sidious says to Anakin just after he has turned to Vader "and wipe out Viceroy Gunray", like the man had been waiting for years just to say that!

"It is obvious this contest cannot be decided with our knowledge of the Force but by our skills with a lightsaber", -Count Dooku AOTC

"Don't center on your anxieties Obi-Wan. Keep your mind on the here and now where it should be", -Qui-Gon Jinn TPM. I think that's it.

"The darkside is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural"-Palpatine ROTS

Alot of the quotes here are really good. But I like this one :

"You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would, destroy the Sith, not join them. It was you who would bring balance to the Force, not leave it in Darkness."

It pretty much sums it up don't you think? And its so final and depressing...like there's no turning back.

Ditto Obi's "Chosen One" speech. So tragic-every time I watch it, I'm sobbing like a baby.

How about Obi's line, "Chancellor Palpatine, Sith Lords are our specialty." Just the way Ewan annunciates the word "specialty"...mmmm...yummy!
