Another great line, in fact...

"May the Force be with us all..." (Mace, ROTS)

It's the only time in the saga that a character uses the mantra in a pluralistic sense. There is much irony in that line. And I like the fact that it's spoken grimly by Mace and closes the scene out. Jackson did poorly in the prequels? Hardly! Also: Lucas has said that he has approached the films like a symphony, and subtly different lines like that, which are an obvious play on more conventional ones, bear that out.

 

I agree with all of the above, and add Palpatine's induction of Anakin as a Sith. That scene really bridged the saga in a lot of ways for me. Palpatine suddenly became the Emperor we know from ROTJ.

"You're fulfilling your destiny Anakin"

"Become my apprentice, learn to use the dark side of the force"

"The force is strong with you, a powerful Sith you will become. Henceforth you shall be known as Darth Vader"

 

Ackbar says "May the Force be with us" before the Battle of Endor.

Admiral Ackbar does not say "May the Force be with us" before the Battle of Endor. Admiral Ackbar does not talk. Admiral Ackbar is not the admiral you're looking for.

In all seriousness, that's a good catch. I guess it still makes the "symphony" analogy work. For now we have two prominent figures saying the line in the third film of each trilogy. For one, it appears that the Force couldn't be less "with" them; for the other, the Force is truly with everyone.

"I will do what I must Obi-Wan", Qui-Gon answering to Obi-Wan after metting with the Jedi Coumcil about Anakin in The Phantom Menace.

Ahhh!! there's so many lines that I love!! Number one will always be:

1) "Hello There"

I do not know why I love this line so much and please do not ask. I use it when greeting someone so often!

Ok now here are #2 and 3.

2) "Anakin Skywalker, meet Obi-Wan Kenobi." <----LOL. I was watching Episode I today and my dad started talking right before this line was uttered and I was like "SHHH! Be quiet for a minute!" to him just so I could hear this line. When it was over, my dad was like "you had me be quiet for this?" LOL.

3) "The Council had granted me permission to train you. You will be a Jedi. I promise."<------I always shudder when Obi-Wan says "you will be a jedi." And again, my dad started talking to me right before this line as well and again I had to say "SHHHH!" and then he looked at me like I was really strange.

And now for the rest in no particular order:

4) "I am the Senate"

5) "There's always a bigger fish."

6) "Why do I get the feeling that you're going to be the death of me?"

7) "You were the Chosen One!" <----the whole speech. I always get emotional =(

8) "I hate you!" <----sooo sad. [cries]

11) "Anakin is the father, isn't he? I'm so sorry." <----why do I love the depressing lines?

"Execute Order 66." - Palpatine Not actually one of my favorite lines, but one I wanted to discuss. I loved how it's "execute." Lucas could have chosen words like perform, fulfill, carry out, complete, do, realize, implement, etc. But no, he chose execute. A word that provides depth to a three-word sentence. Critics of GL's writing be damned. A simple line that could have been used in any 30's serial is used to perfection and with meaning in ROTS. Kill,, destroy, murder are the tasks the clone troopers are performing. But those words wouldn't work because they can't "murder" Order 66. I think its clever dialogue and a line I enjoy to think about.

"I am the senate" was great. Yes, I know it was mentioned, but some I "learned" stated "The Senate, it is I", some french king I beleive. But some good line to me are:
