Best Mic for an Animated Film?

    I'm nearing completion on my script for my Tales of the Jedi film and I won't to know beforehand what you guys think are the best mics for an Animated film. I was looking into a shotgun microphone, but I'm not sure.

    Any suggestions would be really helpful.

    Guitar Center is having a great deal on condensor microphones which sound awesome if you get a good one (100$-2,000$)

    Im thinking about getting an Oktava from there for only 100 bucks.

    I ain't an expert, but just consider the basics: something that doesn't need to function with a lot of mobility or versatility... but that hopefully makes up for it in quality.
