Ooh... that's SO hard! It's really a tie between the OT and LotR... but I voted for the OT, just 'cause Yosh voted for LotR... ;)

Tough choice between LOTR and the PT (yes I do like it). I mean, Legolas or Anakin?
But in the end the fact that I have LOTR music going round in my head swayed my judgment.

For me, personally it's Star Wars PT. I know that's an odd choice and I do LOVE the OT but PT was where I came in... AotC was the first SW movie I saw in the cinema and the PT just kicked off this whole SW obsession (yes I said obsession Yosh :p )

I adore LotR too though, so that comes a VERY close third after the OT ;)

Jebus, but LotR is the superior trilogy! For starters, at least the cast can act! :p

And to all those OT fans, i do love those films, just not as much. :p

The cast of the PT can act! I mean, there are some really cringe-making bits, but there are bits like that in the OT too, and I like it just the same.

Anyway, I don't want to start that now.

The OT and then Back to the Future

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need any roads

    (probably badly misquoted)

Oh, I didnt see Indiana Jones in the list. That will go in my top 3.

It's too early to tell for some of them though as they only have 2 films:

PT: First one ****, second one pretty good
LOTR: First one excellent, second one not so excellent
Harry Potter: First one not very good, second one quite good
Matrix: First one great, second one...well I'm still not sure about that

Aye, although i did like the Matrix Reloaded, it's an odd situation where you cant really say wether it's really any good until we get to see Revolutions.

In all honesty I find it impossible to choose between the prequel and the original trilogies. Particularly since the haven?t finished making the prequels yet. ;)

I went on a bit of a rant on the Washington DC board about how I love all of the Star Wars films equally, as a parent would do their children. I?m sure I left them all thinking that I am a bit of a mentalist. [face_blush]

Anyway, I voted for the prequels since only one other person had done. I?d also like to second Livi-Wan?s point, I think that most criticisms of the prequels can also be made of the original films.

    Oh yeah, and why?s Blood Sport not in the poll? Surely everyone needs a bit of van-damage in their life. 8-}

Don't get me wrong, i love the SW movies, particularly the OT.

And you are right in that i guess it's a bit early to really critisize the PT until EP3 has been released, and we can get to see the whole story. But i just find, that i am only liking the PT for the SFX, which just seems wrong to me, as normally, the effects should be secondry. That sounds wierd..but i'm sure you know what i mean :p

As for Blood Sport....you've given me an idea for another poll! As i just thought of some other series i haven't included. :D

LOTR, OT and Matrix are about equal for me right now. about a Year ago there would be no contest for the OT, but i've drifted from it somewhat recently. so i voted for the Matrix because nobody else had yet

Hmm, I haven't even seen Matrix: Reloaded, most people I know says it's rather bad, so I haven't bothered seeing it. But I really liked the first one... :)

    OT rocks.
