Ewan, he's a great Kenobi and does remind me of Guiness. Ian is great too.

    Hayden?

What movie were you guys watching?

I would say that everyone was decent.

Ian and Frank Oz and Chris Lee stood out the most.

Hayden and Natalie had such bad chemistry together that it was almost as if they'd never met. Sometimes it's hard to watch....

    Ewan basically saved this Episode...

Palps. Definitely Palps. Ian McDiarmid has no other role - he was, is, and ever shall be Palpatine.

I don't like the acting in this movie. Sure Ewan, Lee, McDiarmid and all the cast are good, but Anakin and Padmé are so bad that you hardly remember the other good performances. Boba isn't exactly good either.

However, I think the movie didn't turn out better due to several other factors besides bad acting by the leading characters; but that's another story.

PS: I'm not a prequel hater. I like TPM a lot.

For me, it was a toss-up between Ian McDiarmid and Ewan McGregor, but I chose Ewan in the end. He just does Obi-Wan so well. I guess I also chose him because he's on-screen more in Attack of the Clones - we know that Palpatine is a MAJOR player in Revenge of the Sith, so I'll vote for Ian then. ;)

Ewan McGregor; gives all Obi-Wan-fans more insight into the character.

Definately Christopher Lee. He has the most deep, rich and nearly arrogant voice one can imagine, I love hearing him speak.
Lee owns every movie he's in, no matter how small the part. He wasn't even in Return of the King, but you still sit through the movie genuinely missing his perfomance.

well, at least he'll be back in the Special Extended Cut! :D

Ewan gives the best performance. Natalie and Hayden are terrible actors, as are a few others I don't care to explain.

Ian McDiarmid and Christopher Lee are always great - both in Star Wars and their other projects. My vote went to Ewan McGregor since to me he had so much to live up to [Sir Alec] and in my opinion he's done it quite flawlessly. And it can only get better.

I have a feeling however, that once Episode III makes it's debut we will see the full extent of McDiarmid's talent. [face_evil]

It's a tie between Lee, McGregor, and Christensen for me, but I voted for the latter at the end. I dunno, something about Hayden's portrayal just brought Anakin's character to life for me. There's a hopeful, love-struck young man there, pulled down by a heavy weight of darkness seething deep within him. He did well coming off as a sympathetic, yet pitiful and frighteningly intense character.

But regardless of my vote, I loved almost all of the performances. Ewan McGregor holds such a special place in my heart for his portrayal of Obi Wan, and Christopher Lee is the MAN. :)

I had to go with Ewan. It was a tough decision deciding between Christopher Lee, Ewan and Ian.

Sam Jackon OWNS his role. No doubt. He is the wise calm braniac Jeid Master who only whoops ass when the time is right.
