Maybe this has been discussed before.

I was rifling through Wookieepedia this evening and came across an image of Slave 1. Damn, if that's not the best ship design ever, not matter what SciFi show exists. Slave one is so unique, and in a league all on it's own. The Falcon as well.

Star Strek, Fifth Element, Battlestar Galactica, they all have nice designs, but Star Wars has always made ships seem more realistic. I know, it's just my "point of view", but still, Slave 1 is just a great design.

The falcon (of course) but aside from the obvious I always loved the design of the republic cruisers from ROTS as well as the Republic gunships from AOTC/ROTS. I like how they have that kind of Japanese feel/look to them.

Totally agree about Slave I and the Millennium Falcon. Other ship designs that I think are great include Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator, Republic Gunships, and Republic Attack Cruisers / Imperial Star Destroyers.

Totally agree. Slave I is fantastic (as are all the other SW spaceships). They also have the best SOUND EFFECTS!

A special note must also go for the design of the Naboo Queen's NUBIAN spacecraft. All sleek and chrome. Did the concept artists call it space-nouveaux?

Oh another special note - I remember going to see ROTJ and thinking how 'otherwordly' the Mon Calamari frigates were. In the words of Kitster they were "wizard" (Roll on TPM re-release and all it ships in 3D!)

The obvious answer is the Falcon. However, my personal favorite is the Naboo Starfighter.

The Executor, plus the Falcon and X-Wings for the elder trio; Venators, Maul's ship, and Jedi Starfighters for the younger few.

    The Super Star Destroyer.

Bigger, batter, badder version of the great Star Destroyer.

The Tie's have always intrigued me. My favorite was Vader's Tie Advance. It was cool as hell and I was always bummed that I never got to see it again after the Battle of Yavin. The Tie Interceptor helped with that as it blended Vader's Tie and the regular Tie beautifully. It just never got showcased the way Vader's ship did

Forgot to mention, but I have to say that I also like the Sith Infiltrator.

Well, I might aswell post my favourite ship by type:

    Starfighter: Jedi Starfighter (AotC)
    Freighter: Sith Infiltrator (TPM)
    Starship: Executor (TESB)

Slave Ship One. Along with the armor the reason Boba didn't have to say anything to be cool.

TIE Fighter, Star Destroyer, Trade Federation battleship, Padme's rocket ship, Padme's bomber that gets bombed, Obi-Wan's starfighter from AOTC and the clone assault ships from AOTC.

I know all the technical names for these ships, but we're in Saga so I tried to use terms more friendly to those not into EU.

Star Destroyers, hands down. Utterly iconic. Striking, elegant, intimidating and strangely beautiful.

Slave 1 just looks like a steam iron to me. ;)

Slave I does it for me.

Another that gives me butterflies when I see it is the TIE Bomber.
