Who was the best U.S. President from 1789-1808, and why? George Washington John Adams Thomas Jefferson
The best President the U.S. has ever had or ever will have was George Washington. First, because he was first; he basically had to put the job together with no real precedent. Next, he kept the country going after our first attempt at government via the Articles of Confederation fizzled out. Finally, he kept his powers limited and refused to basically make himself king or president for life, even though he might very well have been successful in such an attempt. He wasn't perfect, but he set a standard that few other presidents have approached, let alone equaled.
Will you stop all these ridiculous threads? His Excellency is the best. It merits no further discussion.
Hey, at least they're better than having to tell everyone what I ate last, what I put in my mouth last, what I drank last, what TV show I watched last, what song I listened to last, what movie I watched last, when I beat down dp4m last, and most importantly, my last first world problem.
Yeah, but that's like... twice the number of threads allowed per 12 hours period. Jesus Christ. I'm locking half of these and unlocking tomorrow.
Don't really see the need for this one, as you could have taken out Harrison (the elder), Taylor and Garfield for dying so early. but I'd go 1. Washington 2. Adams 3. Jefferson I hate Jefferson.
Washington. Could have stayed on for more power but returned to Mt. Vernon instead. Set us on a course.
