Wow, alot of anti- Philly sentiment.

I like Flyers more than the Rangers.

Philly is having a rough sports year. Classic rivalry though.

Little Mike- I am glad you are speaking your mind. Just better have the facts to back up your statements.

    Everyone knows to play nice.

Do you think we'll see Charlie at this meeting? Go Yanks!

    Little Mike? :(

First I was a droid and now I'm fit to jump into an R2 unit. :(

As for backing up my statements, are you referring to the standings? If that's the case...Here are the NBA Pre-season standings: http://www.nba.com/standings/by_division.html

And here are the NHL standings: http://nhl.com/onthefly/standings/div_stand.html

And I'm tall not LITTLE! :(
    Sadness.:(

OK. One. Who the hell cares about pre-season basketball??

Two. It's 3 GAMES INTO THE NHL SEASON!

Three. We don't care. We're Yankees fans. Last night was one of the greatest games in MLB history. Nothing you can say can bring us down so you might as well stop trying.

Wow, I honestly didn't think the Yanks would lose tonight, after that huge win Thursday. And the fact that they have won 10 straight games at home in the post-season. But Pieree is truely amazing to watch. And the Marlins WON. I believe the Yanks are rebuilding the "death star". Anywho, I know I'm alone on this(On this board) but...Go Marlins. :(

You're not a Marlin fan. You're just a frontrunner. The WORST type of fan.

    Here's a thought:

    ~Find a team.

    ~Stick with them.

~Live with them for a couple seasons in a row.

~Learn the names. Love the team.

~Watch them make it to the championship.

    ~Now, watch them lose.

~Feel the sting in your chest as you watch the other team celebrate. As you watch the other team pull off a miracle comeback that defies explanation. As they jump for joy and go crazy with victory. As you see them holding what you wanted so desperately to be yours.

Then and ONLY then will you know what it's like to be a true fan. All true fans have to taste the bitterness of defeat. These people are few and far between.

    Damn Yankees...

Little Mike, Did you want the Marlins because you like them or because they were playing the Yanks?

    Weigh your answer carefully...

    Always next year-
Just hope we could fill the gaps in the pitching rotation.

2003: Eagles make NFC Championship lose to Bucs
2002: Eagles make NFC Championship, lose to Rams
2001: Sixers make NBA Playoffs, lose to Lakers in 5
1994-2003: Flyers make it to playoffs, lose in various stages, get swept by Red Wings in 97
1993: Phillies make World Series, lose to Blue Jays in 6 :(

Last Philly championship: 1983 Sixers beat Lakers in 6 games.

Really sad I know, but at least we make the playoffs, and have had all four major teams be above .500 this past year. New York sure as hell can't claim that.

Philly's done plenty for sports. They lose, so other teams advance!

The Flyers didn't make the playoffs in 1994. They were in last place in 1993 and 1994. Wouldn't a REAL fan know that? It always seems that I know more about other people's teams than they do...

1994-95 - loss to Devils in CF
1995-96 - loss to Panthers in CSF
1996-97 - loss to Red Wings in F
1997-98 - loss to Sabres in CQF
1998-99 - loss to Maple Leafs in CQF
1999-00 - loss to Sabres in CQF
2000-01 - loss to Sabres in CQF
2001-02 - loss to Senators in CQF
2002-03 - loss to Senators in CSF

The Flyers are the one team I really don't care about Mike. So I missed one year, big deal, not the end of the world yet.

And the reason I have to defend Philly is b/c we always get **** from everyone elses fans, so we're always defensive, it's in our blood. We're not afraid to boo Santa Claus, or McNabb if he sucks. Unlike other cities where their fans placate the players if they struggle, we give it to them if they suck.

Enough of me being on the defensive...I'm sick of it.

The Yanks dynasty is at its end, I can see it now.

Go for it, Herb! Stick up for your teams!

DIE HARD is a tough thing to be. With the Philly/NY rivalry, expect it.

    (Go Rams)

We in NY stick by our players to a point. BIG STEIN doesn't accept loss too easily. Fassil(?) had to put his job on the line with an on air pledge that they would make it to the post season. I am suprised that Ewing lasted as long as he did with out delivering.

The Yanks will have to reinvent themselves. They have done it before. The Dynasty is well in tact. Might take a few years off, but still a force to be reconed with.
