I'm not really wild about this change of venue. The new theater is beautiful but the stage is small.....just a thought.

Do you make any effort to see documentaries, art films and foreign films? The ones that don't run at the neighborhood movie theater? I usually wait til my local Blockbuster has them on video. Trouble is they only buy the ones that win at the Oscars or Canne. Dangit.

Is Black Hawk Down worth seeing?

rolls eyes cause she realizes she just asked a bunch of guys if a war movie is worth seeing so of course they're gonna say yes.

LOL! Pearl Harbor won an Oscar. :D

For sound, thank God. If they'd given them an acting award I'd already be in bed with a migraine.

    Visual effects.

LOTR should win this. But then again, Pearl Harbor is up for it too.

But hey, LOTR did win it. Cool.

Although a think recreating a battle on a computer easier than making a fantasy battle out of plastic but whatdo I know. ;)

Dudes.....what was the music like for LOTR? I forget. :D

But it won. So maybe I should be ashamed. ;)

And beat out John Williams, no less!

    That seems wrong.....so wrong....

    LotR best music?

Absolute travesty! Don't wanna watch the rest

But we knew JW wasn't gonna win cos he was conducting! How stupid is that???

He knew he wasn't gonna win, cos the orchestra have the list of orchestral cues to play when each winner is announced. He shoulda played his won stuff when Howard Shore went up!

He'll win again. He always does. This just wasn't his year.

That honorary Oscar for Sidney Portier is nice. The one political statement of the evening.

This has been an odd night. No real dramatic moments. Whoopi and her none stop black jokes. Everythings very British/American. Paul McCartney and Enya? Why........?
