Big Brother 3: Rules and Information [Read and Reply]

Hey everyone!
Welcome to Big Brother 3: Return of Big Brother.

We've got about 14-15 weeks of insanity planned ahead for you all. But first, you need to make sure you're clear on the rules and points system. If you have any questions or comments, post away.

And finally, please post acknowledging that you know the rules. Thanks!

So, without further jibber-jabber..

The Rules

1) Every week, a task is assigned for 10 points. Myself and the users of the JC rate tasks -- the averages are then found and points are awarded to each housemate.
2) At the end of the week, everyone is to vote for one user out and explain why. After that, the housemate is "let out" and the next week starts. For some weeks, there will be a double voting. Right now, these are planned for weeks 3 and 5. This may change, though.
3) There is to be no posting outside of the BB house allowed (this includes socks); doing so knocked 5 points off your score. This rule will have a three strikes process to it. If someone is caught posting outside of the forum on more than 3 occasions without prior approval from Dash, then that housemate will be ejected from the house and disqualified from the game.
4) As a housemate, you are VIPed but cannot use colors unless you win them.
5) Colors, titles and avatars can be "purchased" with points earned from tasks.
5) Tasks are to be creative -- ie, write a story about your first lunchroom foodfight, describe your room as if you were a cat, create a collage out of image markup tags, etc.

Also, if a user must post outside of the forum for any reason (IE, EagleIFilms is a city rep and may need to post to the City Rep forum), it needs to be cleared with Carousel or Dashy first. Thanks.

Rewards

15 points: A custom title of your choice for a week (image or not).
30 points: The ability to use VIP colors for one week.
30 points: A custom avatar of your choice uploaded for one week.
50 points: A "cannot be booted" pass for the week of your choice.
60 points: One week's posting priveledge to the entire JC.

And that should be it. If you ever have any problems, need to clarify something in private, etc, either send a private message to RidingMyCarousel or Dashy.

I read the rules and I understand them. But I think you made a mistake in your list of housemates. It looks more like a circus freak show than a game.

I read the rules, but I reserve the right to claim they're ambiguously worded and in any case result in completely screwed up enforcement and you're mother dresses you funny.

I guess that means I'll obey them too.

 

I've read the rules. I would normally think of some clever quip like those above me did (and so very well, if I may ASSKISSING add ), but I'm too tired.

Hey Jim, it looks like we've finally been promoted to moderator! At least, that's what it feels like. We only post in a single private forum (that the rest of the JC manages to read anyway) and we're surrounded by idiots. Is this the BB game or a new and only slightly more lame ModSquad?

I have read and had a hearty chuckle at the rules and at some of the previous responses.

Are "tasks" going to be issued individually?

 

Will immunity be awarded to the winners of the weekly tasks as well? Colors and a title don't mean squat if you get kicked out anyway.

You can buy immunity at some point.
Also, if you're kicked out, you get to keep your prizes for the following week of you leaving.
