Big Brother 5: game on

Welcome to the 5th installment of the JC Big Brother game! It was popular in past years, so we've decided to bring it back for some summer fun.

The way it works is 16 JC users are shut in the "Big Brother house" (basically, another forum). They can't post outside the house for the duration of the game. Every week, they'll be given "tasks" or challenges to perform. People will be voted out of the house by the viewers every week until the end of the game. The winner will get one week of colors. Meanwhile, players can spam and socialize in the house.

There are only two requirements. First, you're not allowed to post outside of the house unless specifically given permission by the host (that includes socks). It's not that bad, though, since you can still communicate with your friends by posting messages for them in the house. Second and related, you can't have duties that require your presence in the wider JC (e.g. game host) unless your forum's mod gives you permission to put it on hiatus.

Interested in playing? All you have to do is audition! PM this thread's creator a note (can be any length) stating why you should be in the Big Brother house this summer (don't make it too personal, since we'll be making these public!) and the Big Brother hosts will choose the entries we like best and let you know!

The game will start 6/7 and run until 8/23. Signups will close on June 5.

 

I already applied. Saw the announcement in YJCC first. But I am busy occupying all threads about this all oer the boards.

Come on people, apply, it's going to be fun and you will get to know a few users really well. Provided you stay in the game log enough....

 

It's a really fun game, and for those of you who don't post much outside of WNU, it's a great way to get out and meet some people, but in a smaller environment since there'll only be 16 people. We'd love to see you apply!!

Correct. Once we have everything settled and the contestants are notified, it'll be open. You guys can see but not post.

 

If it stars within the next 24 hours, I'll have to move in with my sock.

 

It probably won't. However, your sock wouldn't be allowed to move it (unless teh board code changed anything, it'll be a VIPs+ forum and you'll all be VIPed and have to change to black text) so you won't be able to post.

I wouldn't have the slightest clue. Anyway, congrats on making the house, I hope you win!

 

The next game won't be for a while, Skiara. I'm guessing at least 2 years from now.

 

I've checked the last two BB game dates, and they were from 2007 and 2005, respectively. Last year we had Forum Feud.

 

I don't even want to try and track down records of the other two games, because they were probably a long time ago.
