Just about any hit by Jack Tatum, probably the hardest hitter to ever play the game.

I think his most impressive hit was his goaline hit on Earl Cambell. Cambell scored the TD, but bothe were shaken up. There weren't too many players who would take on EC head up, one on one.

 

HERE are a lot of good hits and the ones back in the dark ages of football were legal back then, so...

 

TV and youtube vids do not do justice to this.

Years back, I got to go onto the sidelines up in Jacksonville. (Friend at stadium security) I saw a collision right in front of me of 2 300 pound guys head on.

It pretty much looked like a car accident. They both got up and said "Good Play" to each other. The violence of the collision was staggering! Anyone not in shape would have been down for the count.

That is why careers in the NFL do not last quite so long.
