A few months ago the FHM in the UK ran an article on things GL didnt want people to know about ATOC. Most of it was spot on, but one segment was about a mysterious all powerful Sith Lord who would match sidious called Darth Kimball. I was in stitches!

 

Oh, how little they know...

 

This is probably the funniest thing LFL has ever put on the net. All thanks to Paul Ens, who spends his time screwing around here instead of doing his job

Hmm.. is there some sort of backstory to this that I need to know, in order for it to be funny? I'm not laughing, so I'm guessing it's some kind of inside joke...?

 

Back before AotC was even written, it was started as a joke here that the next Dark Lord of the Sith would be called Darth Kimball. Some media outlets (magazines, online movie sites) thought it was true and actually reported it, much to the amusement of the JC and TFN.

Paul Ens, the webmaster of StarWars.Com, posted regularly here as Ghent before he went to work for LFL, and used this as an injoke that mostly only older JC posters would get.

I myself don't remember anything about that. How far back before AotC was this?
