First season of Sliders was cool, after that it got real dodgy real fast...

 

Yeah kinda like most programs I guess

 

It got crap after John Rhys Davies nicked off. Then they had those stupid humanoid bad guys in it all the time!

 

Some memorable exceptions,

Star Trek TNG got pretty good after it's very shaky first season, Stargate SG-1 kept improving right up until Daniel left...

Yeah, so two,

Couple of series that have just started, like LOSt and the new Doctor Who look promising...

 

I dunno about the New Doctor Who though. . .

It takes the piss in having old school Crapness hanging about at times, but It might get better!

There ya go- I shouldnt jump to conclusions I've only watched the first episode. The Dummies were cool though, I just hate Billie Piper!

 

Yeah, I didn't like her at first, or him.

But now, I can't imagine anyone else in the roles, it just sucks the new Doc quit!

Just did some research, turns out BBC announced he was leaving prematurely, it was meant to be a surprise at the end of the season, but he was only ever contracted for the first year....

 

Bit late in the discussion to bring up Fed Savage again but in his defense, he was in one of my favourite films - The Princess Bride. Not that he was necessarily the reason it's a classic but it's a classic all the same.

for the record, he left after the first series because he didn't want to be typecast .... which in a way makes sense, just look at poor old Mark Hamill

Yeah- Mark Hamil kicks ass in the Theatre, and Does tons of animated series Voices as S_M pointed out: the Joker.

Star Wars allowed him to take on his most memorable Role!

The Trickster in The Flash, followed by Cocknocker!

 

lol i loved that role in jay and silent bob best cameo appearance by far.

talking about people typecast, or not so typecast, be sure to check out Boston Legal on seven which i think starts this week for William Shatner in what many say is his best acting role in a long, long time. steals the show too, and james spader is a damn good actor

It's wicked- he does a cover of common people by PULP!

 

I reckon Mark Hamill played one of his best roles in the Wing Commander PC game. Davies too for that matter.
