Not surprising, considering some of the replicants were pleasure 'models' in the first film too.

Yeah, I could be misremembering, but I seem to recall that one of the Replicants in the original film was a stripper.

Snake stripper lady, yeah. In the book she was an opera singer, and Deckard's relationship with her was... complicated. He buys her a book to distract her as he terminates her, because he feels so bad and she seems so "normal". They probably won't have a similar scene like that in the next movie -- they still seem hooked on the hooker glitz -- but it would be cool if they did.

I'm guessing that is going to be overall thrust of the plot in BR2049 though. There are Replicants who can now pass the Voight-Kampff Test and there are a lot of them. Rachael couldn't but didn't know that she was a Replicant and had no termination date. Perhaps she was an early prototype.

I hope we get to hear Ford drop an MF bomb, that would be gold.

Well, at least they weren't just striving for a PG-13 rating like so many other movies do these days, almost by default.

ok but that doesn't make Big Old Al's comment any less idiotic. It's his thing, he posts in the style of a rambling small town alcoholic.

If one of the reasons it also got an R-rating was for Ana de Armas nudity, I will not complain.

See he has me on ignore because he disagreed with a point I made in a discussion that didn't involve him, so he can't see my post. But, personally, I love how well the synergies flow from my post to his first, then unintended second. Diggy needs to see this.

Ender Sai : I was just posting that in regards to the general discussion about the R rating... not replying to any specific posts. :p

hahahha, it's always funny whenever people respond to posters I've blocked years ago. Looks like a glitch of empty space in the Matrix.

Not sure if this warrants its own thread, all the existing Philip K Dick ones are long autolocked, and not go beyond a page. May be of interest to Blade Runner fans.

I think the images they used for the posters are a lot worse than the orange and blue. I can kind of forgive those as they are colors that represent the two BR films. Although I understand the dislike of those colors.

I am not sure what I was expecting poster-wise, more dynamic character images maybe?
