Clone Wars microseries would be comparable, though obviously not as recent.

Considering how much critics hated the original film, let's hope things go well this time.

Well just as long as a bored Ryan Gosling narrates, we'll be able to eagerly await at least six final cuts.

Is it better than Future Noir though?

I watched the theatrical cut this weekend and looked out for this specifically. It didn't look like he has any facial injuries when killing Zhora and then they magically appear straight after when he talks to Gaff and Bryant. If these deaths were out of order then surely he'd have injuries when he kills Zhora, but something isn't right between their deaths with the continuity.

The umbrellas!!! Nooooooooo! Things must have gone horribly downhill since 2019.

But yeah, this is great. They've got the original's vibe down perfectly and there are even a couple of nods to the novella. Also every nerd has a softspot in their heart for the bookworm hero.

Diggy - how excited would you think Albert is right now? The prospect of a bewb shot, and someone saying "mother****er", remains unknown in Blade Runner 2049 but he does so dearly hope we get them, as nothing quite evokes the spirit of the original than profanity and mammaries.

Just furthering my own knowledge on the subject, but I'm surprised at how many versions of BR there actually are- I mean, I knew there were several, obviously, but apparently the final tally is eight: Early, Workprint, Test Screening, US Theatrical, International Theatrical, US Broadcast, Director's Cut, Final Cut.

Has any other film had so many versions? Star Wars is the only one that comes close off the top of my head- and the differences in many of those pre-SE variations are minor audio differences; nothing as substantial as the changes BR has gone through. I mean, it's pretty fascinating on a simple filmmaking process level, even moving past story concerns and the like.

I always loved the opening of the original, especially the eye shot. 11 more days until the premiere. I think I'm going.

If only it wasn't opening the same weekend as comic con I'd be checking it out in the city but since it is I'll have to try to catch it at my local IMAX instead.

A couple of interesting notes about the name Kay. It is the name of a knight of the Round Table. It is a figure of speech for the occupation of locksmith.

Rachael's inception date is May of 2017. This would place the date Kay finds 4 years afterward. Could be a red herring for the audience or it could be a false grave set by them to fake her death.
