Blocking Sith Lightning - Hands or Saber?

Going to have to agree here, lightsaber's definitely safer

Mighella's Force Lightning would be far weaker than Dooku and Palpatine's though so while it's impressive it's not more impressive than Yoda's ability to absorb Palpatine's with his hands.

Wasn't Yoda gathering the force lightening like he did with Dooku so he could fire it back at Sidious? If thats what he was doing then it explains the explosion because I think he was trying to capture a heck of a lot comming from Palpatine, and it was probably more than anyone could harness.
