Out of this March's vibe's, scribes and 45's

Mostly I've been playing I Against I by Massive Attack and Mos Def..from the Blade 2 Soundtrack...

It is the darkest phatest little number since Unkle's Gun's Blazing...

Oh and the new DJ Shadow album and the OST for Ghost In The Shell...

I've been listening to The Hives and the Strokes, a lot recently trying to gear up for T in the Park. But that has all changed as I've went back to the ol' skool with Rappers delight, "A hip hop, a hippy to the hip.."

EDIT: Alpha, I already have the first CD. So I wont be getting the box set. And I wouldnt wanna buy the second disk cuz the only song I'd want would be The Show Must Go On, cuz I have Like A Virgin on my PC somewhere.

I can't listen to anything much @ the moment without thinking of my dad.

I've spent the last month or so going through my dad's collection - I've listened to everything from Elmer Bernstein's Walk On The Wild Side (genius film score composer) to the Pearl Fishers Duet - a heartbreakingly beautiful piece of opera.

My dad appreciated the true emotion of music. I miss that enthusiasm.

I get like that sometimes when I hear Lonnie Donnigan on Radio 2 cuz he was my Dad's fave and I can still see my Dad dancing around the lounge to Rock Island Line.

EDIT: Oh...another word to the wise...I know it sounds a bit morbid...but you guys...appreciate your parents while you still have them. Cuz when you don't...well...I won't get into that.

I'm not so good with names so I don't know who but they're played a lot on the radio right now so it's probably likely to offend La Music Snob. ;)

    All the same, I like.
