    Amazing how Sony went from "we give up, we have no clue when we'll have PSN back up" at 9am this morning to "North America gets online play back tonight and most of Europe Sunday" in just a few hours.

    So I just got the 3.61 update, and when I try to log-in it still just says that it's undergoing maintenance. It has not told me to change my password or indicated that I would receive an e-mail...

    What part of the world are you in? They're not turning everyone back on at the same time.

    Hope to get my PS3 back today or tomorrow.
    Guess whatever it was, it was easy for them to fix.
    And nice to know that PSN will be back up when it arrives.
    I've had nothing to do by build and animate my models in Maya. Oh wait...

    Wait, is that a time limited offer or something? Or for PSN plus, or what?

    I already have inFamous and LBP but I wouldn't mind QFB.

    Doesn't really make up for the leak of important information... but I definitely won't turn down free games, especially when most of them are pretty good games too, just gotta remember to download them in the month after PSN is restored (and hopefully they'll have reinforced the security this time). At least their list of options consists of decent to great games. I'm definitely getting Infamous (might as well see how it is before the sequel comes out), already have LittleBigPlanet, hm, probably going to get Stardust. Not sure about the PSP games, I'm stuck deciding between LBP, Modnation Racers or Killzone (probably the first two though).

    And just to clarify, the Ratchet game will be available for free in Europe, not North America we're getting Super Stardust instead (not that I mind since I bought the Ratchet PSN game years ago). And it should be available to everyone that had a PSN account, not just the Plus members.

    Also, I think everyone is getting a month of Plus free, while current Plus members will get two months free. While I doubt I'll ever sign up for the Plus service (regular PSN is still pretty good, though I don't use the multiplayer stuff that much), I'm kind of interested in seeing what its about (game rentals, movie rentals, etc.). Whenever they get the Network back up, at least there'll be a good deal of stuff afterward.

    Yeah, I'll likely nab Infamous plus Ratchet & Clank.

    Anyone who has NOT got Wipeout HD / Fury - GET IT! You cannot go wrong with it, Zone mode alone is still stunning even a couple of years on.

    Since I have a PSP I'll be getting two PSP games, LittleBigPlanet and Killzone Liberation. I'm not sure which of the PS3 game I want though.
    * LittleBigPlanet
    * InFamous*
    * WipEout HD/Fury
    * Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty
    * Dead Nation*

    InFamous and Dead Nation, perhaps? Or LittleBigPlanet?

    Could you imagine if all that occurred in November? Proof that exclusively digital distribution will never work. Or that I'll never approve of it.

    No, I read it. I'm just not that interested in Wipeout.

    Are you referencing that streaming-only video game machine thing? I forgot the name of it...

    It just means Sony needs to sort their **** out. I can't recall a downtime of this length ever happening to Xbox Live, or Steam, or iTunes.

    PSN Hacked Again

    Looks like hackers were able to exploit the new password reset page using the information they stole last time. :oops:

    Oh well, if you really don't like racers.... Though for me just bombing round the tracks at speed, in various modes is enough.

    In other news...

    Of course - PSN Shop is still down in the UK!

    OnLive? No, I'm talking about forgoing physical media (actual cases with discs inside) and moving towards exclusively digital download. I've heard analysts saying we'll be there in the next decade, but I just can't see it happening after this fiasco.
