I'm not sure if this is the right section but does anybody know of some good blue-screening programs?

And when blue-screening the the background have to be solid blue?

For instance will the wrinkles of a sheet mess up the blue screening?

    See last post.

use after effects and key out the blue color. and try and get good lighting on the blue screen or it will take longer to key out the different shades of blue

Wrinkles won't mess it up but it will make things harder. I've filmed models on fishing wire in front of green screen and the wires usually disappear when you get to the keying stage. Generally the hardest part is getting the colour as even as you can. But if you do it'll make things a hell of a lot easier in post.

Thanks. The hard part is that im only 11 and cannot afford to build a blue screening set.
Although i do have after effects, premiere and paintshop pro 7 it's tricky.
I have like 10 bucks so i cant build a blue or green stage.

I am pretty good at special effects for an 11 year old.
I can rotoscope and can edit movies pretty good but i need blue
screening and the star trek beaming.

You know, you're supposed to be 13 to register on this board...

In any case, if you can afford all that software, you can afford a little bit of money for some plywood and blue/green paint.

With parental permission any age is allowed. Anyway's what works kind of nice is a plastic party table cloth. You can buy them in 100 foot rolls for about $10-$15. Make sure you double layer them though as they are kind of thin. I'm sure your parents could help you with the cost a bit if you ask nicely. Also another thing I've heard is actually just bright green posterboard. Just get a bunch and attach them to the wall.

Just one question are you filming models or people?

    1) Multiple consecutive posts within a few minutes of each other = Spamming.

    2) You're too young to register here.

See you in a couple years.
