Wal-Mart, KB Toys, and Toys R Us announced they're not gonna sell the game. Best Buy said they're gonna sell only the PS2 version of it because its completely censored.

Well, it appears Acclaim caved completly to Sony concerns/rumors.

It's a game for sad, horny teenage boys, who can't find girlfriends, with more testosterone than sense.

And that, coming from me (a teenager), must have some sort of significance. Maybe.

 

And GTA Vice is a game for homicidal, chainsaw weilding, drug dealing, lunatics, right?

 

If the gameplay is good I'll check it out. The premise sounds pretty funny, even for this mid-20's loser who does indeed have a girlfriend.

 

Again, GTA's chainsaw weilding, granny hitting, antics is nothing but a cheap gimmick.

If there was some form of message, or whatever, behind games of these sort then I, personally may find it excusable. on't get me wrng there's nothing wrong with games, films, etc containing violence (heck if EpIII doesn't have the most evil ending in cinema history I'll be disappointed).

But after the original 'aren't I naughty?' feeling has passed games of thissrt are nonsense (Just like BMXxx will be, ie- offers very little over previous bmx games).

Seriously though - that's the point of a game like this. It isn't trying to have a message or be a piece of art or grand storytelling, it's just trying to be stupid fun. Nothing wrong with that, they're just pixels after all.

Of course I'd like to see more serious games as well - games which will be remembered in the future as art. Bring em on! The more types of games we have, the merrier.

 

This game is going to be so much fun. The gameplay should be great too because Dave Mirra BMX 2 had awesome game play. I wonder if blockbuster will even rent it out?

 

I suppose I've been a bit harsh but in the instance of BMX xxx there is absolutely no need for features like nudity or bad language.

But hey, if you find the game fun, who am I to say otherwise?

From what I hear, if you do something you can open up videos of "actual strippers" doing their stuff (I doubt it would be too hardcore), but the fact is if some guy over the age of 18 is buying a $50 video game because it features some nudity, he's looking in the wrong place. I mean, could this guy not just buy porn? He's 18 is he not?

The fact is, as much as I want this game to bomb, I'm sure it will sell at least 400,000 copies on the PS2 alone, which is rather sad overall.

 

Why's it sad? The same kind of people that went out and bought the Tony Hawk games, Matt Hoffman BMX, Agressive Inline, or Transworld Surf are the same people that will go out and buy this game. Regardless of nudity. The gameplay is going to be solid and the developers are going to take the ideas that they had for Matt Hoffman and Agressive Inline and apply it to this game. At it's core it's still going to be a nice Extreme game. All the adult humor is just a bonus. Would Tony Hawk 4 be any less of a game if it added nudity/swearing on top of it's gameplay?

That's what I think people are seriously missing about this game that keep badmouthing it. It's gonna be a great game with great gameplay with the ADDED BONUS of strippers and "dirty" humor. It just adds more fun to an already solid game.

 

I dont see it as a bonus. Pixelated Nudity and crude jokes, that most reviewers have found intriguingly unfunny, just doesnt appeal to me. If Tony Hawk 5 became Skateboard XXX I'd lose tons of respect for the series altogether. Not to mention many extreme sports buyers may pass over the superior Tony Hawk 4 so they can see somes T*** in their video games. Sorry, but that's an injustice.

Actuly sex doesn't sell. People pay more attention to the sex then the product and forget all about bying anything.

 

I dont' know if GTA would be any good with out gore, or murdering innocents, but it's still a great game with a living city. THere's nothing like flying your car through the city and watching cops flying after you crashing into buildings.

Oh yes it is hardcore!! There is full on breast shots of the Scores girls. SCEA is censoring it for the US, they don't want any nipples. so you get 99.9% nudity of the breast. It's still gonna be a great game.

while i whole heartily agree with developers seeing what they can get away with in terms of violence this game spells the downfall of mature games, if the new mortal kombat doesnt do it first. yes there should be more mature games but they dont have to be nothing but profanity, violence, and sex. they should be thoughtful and have themes and ideas that of classic books and movies.
