YES! I love Yuni Seff. Who the hell came up with 'Bob' anyway? Real creative

 

Savage Oppression, Maul, Tyrannical, Insidious, Plague, Callous, Grievance.

Ben, Luke, Julia.

Palpatine, Yoda, Mace, Obi-Wan.

It's all rather simple, three categories.

 

This should be a bannible offense - 'Bob' is an EPIC name!

(Translation - Don't take things so seriously. There have been a couple of 'very' creative names offered up but 'Bob' has stuck in part because we're all having a bit of fun.)

 

Who says I'm not having a bit of fun myself? I included an eye-roll emoticon to indicate sarcasm in my post, but I guess it's not working.

JJ should stick with Bob.

 

Right, I meant to me Cody is a name in the same group as Thomas and Rachel... Which are names obviously that won't be in the movie. Maybe it's just a two-syllable thing, they just don't "sound" like good names in the Star Wars universe... Too typical/ common of names, as well...

And with Bob I mean I'm just saying maybe we should hold off on calling him Bob before we find out that he ends up being a central character in Episode VII and as a nice nod to the fans they name him Bob, but it ends up ruining the movie... Hahaha We may regret it later...

"He is a very wise and ancient being, well versed with the force... An ancient fear to some, as well... Him and his minion of foul creatures..."
"Well, who is he?"
... "He's Bob..."

Good point about Cody... I never really thought about his name that way before, but I see what you mean.

But no... them calling him Bob will ruin nothing.

 

Him having the name we gave him only means we're the winners.

I wonder if Bob will have a secret brother, Charlie, who will show up during the Iceland shoot.

 

I don't see any more effort into this costume as any other costume from the Cantina scene back in the original. all we know is the guy can walk and move his head. Many in the Cantina had that back in the 70's. No eye movement and no mouth movement leaves me to believe he's just seen in the background.

 

Bob lets Chewie win at chess. It's all Chewie has. Bob wins at life.

 

But Bob is a ninja. He can take down Chewy before he even blinks.

 

I think in a fair fight of chess, Bob wins because he is old and wise. But because he is old and wise he knows to let the wookiee win. But then again, Bob is way more badass than he seems. I once had a Kung Fu teacher who looked old and feeble but could take a huge guy down in one move, this is how I imagine Bob. I mean look at all the weight he is carrying on his back, and all those children (grandchildren?) he is teaching the ways of the Bob.

So Bob is not afraid of Chewy, but because he is old, wise and very kind, he would allow Chewy to win, if only to teach those he carries on his back that winning isn't everything.

 

The most important thing is that they are not Bob-less

 

That's beautiful. He teaches them life's lessons.....right before he sells them as food.
