He doesn't look like Jango AT ALL anymore.

Not so. He now looks like what Jango would look like if he'd been swallowed by a sarlac, spent some time inside, and then escaped.

 

Yeah...we're forgetting A) the supposedly amazing Mandalorian armor. It takes a sarlaac 1000 years to digest it's food. There's no way he'd be that messed up wearing his armor - not his face, at least - especailly considering how weak and ineffective sarlaac digestive juices appear to be. B) He didn't spend very long in there. C) Effing Bacta is amazing!

I don't really think he was Anakin-ed. Doesn't Han run into him in the NJO and, before he finds out that it's Boba Fett, mention that it's a familiar face? Scarred no doubt, but not "beyond belief."

 

Hans says he knows the voice but not the face. And Boba himself says they've never met 'in the flesh'.

There's no physical description beyond 'a man Han's age' who's dark haird and broad-chested.

 

Odd, considering how often they'd met. Though I guess it makes sense that he'd never seen Fett's face. Anyway, I'd think Raynar-level disfigurement would stand out enough to be described.

 

The Sarlacc didn't digest him, but when his rocket pack blew up it pretty much toasted him. IIRC, when Dengar found him, all that was left of his armour was the helmet. The rest of his gear (and most of his skin) was burned away when the rocket fuel blew.

Yeah, Fett's pretty messed up after his Sarlacc dip. I hope Traviss remembers his disfigurements when she writes him.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong (I don't have my Dark Empire I or II TPB with me), but doesn't Chewie yank off Fett's helmet and what he sees scares him into running the other way?

Funny, I heard the same thing as well.. Chewie does pull off Boba's helment doesnt he?

 

I'm thinking most of whatever damage he suffered was remedied by Taun We.

Yeah, Chewie tackles him from behind, and Fett shoots him in the side, leaving him for dead. (Which seems unrealistically incompetent for Fett, but whatever.) Solo makes a reference to Fett's mother, with is unintentionally ironic. Chewie gets him from behind again, taking his helmet and activating his jetpack. Fett crashes into the roof, but we don't see his face. Chewie keeps the helmet, but Fett has a spare.

 

In Dark Empire 2, he yanks Fett's helmet off. Goes flying up into the rafters.

Well if his helmet was intact, then most of his injuries would still be below his neck.

 

Ah, my bad. I missed the helmet in his hand when quickly flipping through it.

Still, we don't see his face. Although it's beyond me how he survived getting is head slammed into the ceiling like that.

Taun We gave him a new leg, but there's nothing to indicate his sarlecc scars and burns were healed.

 

Not completely, probably, but...it stands to reason the man would receive medical treatment.
