Discussion Boba Fett - Possible Spin-Off (Cancelled - See Page 57 for Details)

Could they make Concord Dawn become canon by using it? That was an interesting little sidenote in the Legend of Boba Fett (whoops there's a title there).

Does the film include fellow bounty hunters Dengar, Bossk, Zuckuss, 4-LOM and IG88? Does it explore the mythos of Mandalorian bounty hunters and mercenaries?

 

Has anybody here seen Dredd? The 2012 version, not the Stallone film. To me, that's proof that a Boba Fett standalone movie could be successful. It's about time he earned his badass reputation anyways.

 

Here's what I have to say... After ROTJ? No. He was intended to have died there. Before ROTJ? Definitely; the door is wide open to one of the best bounty hunters in galaxy... let's see him live up to that, as opposed to, well you know


Anyways, I'd personally like to see him between III and IV. I think his upbringing was already told in Episode II, we don't need to go over that again. Though I would like to see a relatively inexperienced Boba donning Jango's armor and eventually transitioning to his own paint scheme in the end. Corny, but I'd dig that.

 

It'll happen. Hope they have something similar to the original voice though.

 

I hope so, too, but I get the feeling that the 2011 edition of ESB is still the definitive version and Morrison is the voice of Fett.

 

Don't have the 2011 versions but pretty similar to 2004 I'm assuming?

As far as Boba's voice, I kind of wish they made Morrison's voice a bit raspier when he redubbed the lines. Best of both worlds.

just did. i really enjoyed it. i really love that you never see dredd without the mask. so many movies act like the audience HAS to see the actor's face all the time. guess what? i have a brain. i know there's a character under there.

if you have netflix i highly recommend watching "solomon kane". the character was created by robert e. howard creator of conan.

 

Dredd was good BUT it bombed at the box office. Not exactly proof that Bobby can get 'er done.

 

Probably due to fans calling for a Dredd vs Judge Death film for long enough

 

I love both that movie, and Solomon Kane.

Blazer-Smith that's true, but I feel like Fett is on an entirely different level of brand name recognition from the Judge. I think it could work. Plus, even if Judge Dredd doesn't point to commercial success, it'd still be a movie I'd love to watch.

True, but Star Wars is about the $. While all Star Wars have made $, they will need to improve the stories vs. the prequels if they want folks to hand out $ every year for a new movie. To me, Bobby ain't good enough of a story premise for me to stay excited about one new movie every year. It's TOO fanboy. They will have to run a tight ship and tell great stories for us to stay as engaged in Star Wars as we are today.

 

I have to admit. I'm EXCITED about these movies because it's Star Wars. However so far we know almost nothing about these movies. Here's what we know:

They're making a new one.

We know the main cast members.

We know it takes place 50 years after ROTJ.

That's it.

They need to start giving me details to make me excited!
