If Disney is wise they will use 1 or 2 well known SW charaters to kick off they new trilogy. Boba Fett would be a wise choice. They could start Epi.VII with a flashback sceen of him flying out of the pit from "Jedi."

I think it will be a tough sell to hard core fans to not have a fimilar face in the crowd as they say.

I would love to see Boba Fett in episode 7 as I've said in like 10 other posts on these forums today, lol. But seriously, out of any previous SW character I'd like to see Boba Fett the most, it would just be epic.

His presence is unnecessary and undesirable.

He tracked down Han Solo. That was pretty much his only contribution to the saga. Beyond that he just looked cool and people loved him for that. So then Lucas decided to write his backstory into AOTC unnecessarily IMO. I don't know what finding out that Boba was a clone from the same template as all of the stormtroopers really added to anything.

The last we see of him (chronologically) in the films is falling down the Sarlaac. Leave it at that. Please. [face_praying]

I don't need to see him shoehorned into the sequels with some vendetta against over-the-hill Han Solo. The EU brought him back, but please Lucas/Kennedy, leave him dead.

Not interested in seeing Fett anymore. He served his purpose in the OT and shouldn't be resurrected any more than the Emperor. IMHO

I have no desire to see Fett come back. He's not one of my favorite characters to begin with (I know I'm in the minority there), but even with that aside, his time is done. Bring on someone new!

It wouldn't really be Star Wars if the movie showed Boba Fett flying out of the pit and then the next screen came up and said "20 years later". Right?

If you're in the minority, it's not that much smaller than the majority. I think there are a LOT of fans who are not Fett fans. I like the idea of him as he was prior to his explosion in the EU. Lucas' original idea for Fett was perfect. He's been ruined since then by overzealous and irrational fandom.

Dead and not an intergral character to the saga. Time for something new.

As much as I love Fett every second spent dwelling on anything from the PT/CW era would, for me, just bring Ep7 to a grinding halt.

Personally, I'd welcome a part in the story for Boba - preferably with an unmasking scene were we are treated to an old, battle-scarred Temuera Morrison. There's absolutely no reason to think a quality part couldn't be written for the character. In fact, if he does appear, I'd like to see Fett survive the films altogether. This would be cool for fans of the character and a chance to finally put to rest the tired Boba lived / Boba died debate.

He should fly up and shout "Back from the dead, a**holes!".

I am not against him coming back again as it would be kind of nice (the Fett fans would love it), but I somehow think it could be nice if they instead had one of the other bounty hunters from ESB the central hunter (maybe Bossk or IG-88?)

I think they need Luke as a old jedi to tie it with the old movies and I am sure the driods will return. as for Boba, that guy needs his own spin off movie

Wasn't it Marvel comics that brought Fett back first?

Seriously hes one of the most popular characters from the entire saga. Why would you not use a character that requires no certain actor to play?

Boba Fett and the Mandalorians play a major role in the EU all the way to the Legacy Era. not to mention that during the time from that many speculate this film will take play Boba Fett is Mand'alor.

The hard core fans are going to be able to gage if they want to see the film by the spoilers that are out there.
