Bodie Taylor as the "young" Temuera Morrison

Okay, they're both males and they're both Maori. Other than that, I don't think they look all that much alike. I don't really see Bodie Taylor as a young Temuera Morrison.

Maybe that's why I liked the unhelmeted clones on ROTS better than the one's in AOTC. Unlike AOTC, the ROTS clones of Jango Fett look like...Jango Fett.

 

I see some of Temuera is the second picture of Bodie, but you're right that the first one doesn't really look anything like him.

 

I don't see much of a resemblance either, but neh. These things are nebulous as a general rule; the only people who really "match up" looks-wise in the saga, IMO, are Hayden & Natalie/Mark & Carrie.

There was a picture here several years ago that had a photoshopped Padawan haircut & Jedi robes on Mark Hamill. It was incredibly similar to how Anakin looked in AOTC.

 

Ewan/Alec?

 

Alec's got these big goofy ears that aren't equalled by anyone else in showbusiness.

I think Ewan did a stellar job as young Obi-Wan personality-wise, but I don't think he looks much like Alec Guinness, personally.

Ewan, to me at least, has much more um...not really sure what the proper word would be, but I suppose "rugged" would do in a pinch. Alec's got more delicate bone structure in his face.

2nd edit: This really doesn't bother me; finding cross-generational actors who look similar to eachother in more than the most basic ways is always difficult; look at the James Bond films. We've gone from:

Beyond that they're all white guys with English accents and (for the most part ) dark hair, there's not alot of physical resemblance between them. Though I do think Craig looks more like Connery than any of the people between them.

 

Agreed. I see more of Alec in Ewan (at least in the triangle they were focused on) than you do, but Mark and Hayden/Natalie and Carrie were great choices. I didn't think they looked much alike until I saw those photoshopped pics, but it was uncanny.

 

I'd imagine (well, I'd like to think), that what they did was asked Temuera for a photo from when he was 20, and used that as a casting guide.

Now I think we'll all agree that Tem looks... lived in. There's a life etched into those features of his, so who's to say that he wasn't a lot more fresh-faced (like Bodie) when he was 20? Just a thought
