Hi, am not too sure how many of you can speak English, let alone read it, though I hope that most of you can! I am coming to holiday in France next year, maybe even for as long as a year on a working Visa.
I am just trying to meet a few people before I go, so that I am not totally alone.
Currently, I speak VERY limited French, only the basics, but I wish to be fluent in French before I come.

How is everyone? Where abouts in France does the majority of you live?

POST EDIT: I always try to say two things at the same time

 

We're kind of all over the place. Some are in the south, near Montpellier or Toulouse, some wander around Paris, some are spilled radomly on the map in cities such as Rouen.

 

I am thinking of moving to Paris, if I was to live there. Though I am more interested in the country areas, beaches and castles. I am not much of a city person, though I find it would be the easiest place for a foreigner to live.
Is it easy enough to get a job over there in general?

 

A job, yes.


A well payed one, not so yes...

 

Well in Paris you have a chance to get a job, more than other location in france.

After that's depend of your profession.

edit: yes my english is not very , very good. not kidding ^^

 

If your French isn't fluent you probably have more chance to find a job in an English or an American company, and that means Paris
The good thing is, if you are in Paris you can easily get a fast train to the South, or to Brittany etc and go and see the ocean and the wonders France has to offer

 

Well I wish to be fluent in French before I travel over, and thinking maybe working in:
A bakery
Retail
As a receptionist / secretary
Working with animals (especially dogs / horses)
...
Those sorts of things.

What is everyones favourite thing to do on the weekends?

Okay, and in your spare time then?

I like to play football (soccer), ride my motorbike, go to the movies, have picnics, do some gardening and meet up with friends for some lunch!

 

Video games with my Mighty,Role playing games with the same Mighty, Tv (home cinema) with the same ewok,playing with our dog "wickette" ...
