Book: Dark Force Rising by Timothy Zahn
Date: Saturday, May 31st at 11am
Place: Marriott Executive Park in Charlotte.

As we have discussed in the Book Club planning thread the period before the book club meets is a "no spoiler" rule meaning if you post spoilers they must be Highlight-To-Read. Example: This is highlight to read. After the meeting spoilers can be posted without the markup codes.

Synopsis:

The Empire is dying; but like a dog near death, the Empire is at its most dangerous, ready to lash out with nothing to lose. Grand Admiral Thrawn may have found just the firepower needed to take a bite out of the New Republic: some two hundred Dreadnaught heavy cruisers, lost to hyperspace in the days of the Old Republic. Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewbacca may be up against more than they bargained for, but it's not the first time the odds have been stacked against them!

Also, just so folks are aware we do use the Book Club as our monthly meeting time so we take care of any club business then.

 

Please be prompt! We will meet from 11:00am to 11:55am because our own TK-2970 will be doing a Hobbit Panel!

 

We will be meeting in the lobby so nobody has to pay for the con just to come to the book club meeting.
