Waco, TX book club

alright fellow book club members our book for this month is Vector Prime adn the meeting will be on the 14th of this month.

UPDATES: I talked to Barnes and Noble's today and they said that they would love for us to have our meetings there but they have like 6-7 clubs already and don't know when they could fit us in, the lady told me that if I don't hear from her by the 12th to call. It looks good so far so barring a tragedy of mythic proportions we should be having our there(w/free coffe and pastries I think)their only requirements are that we are open to everybody and that we can only have 2 meeting a month there

 

That sounds great. But, PLEASE Have it from 7-8. I could be there half the time in that case.

I could not find the book at Barnes and Noble Tuesday night. I did pick up the new essential guide to characters and the E2 visual dictionary. Guess I'll look for it at Hastings or BDaltons.

 

I probably won't have it read, because of the costume, moving, graduation, and all that stuff....

 

Found the book at Hastings this morning. Picked up the AOTC novel also as it was only $15.60!

How about we have the AOTC novel as our next book? I'm sure everyone will have seen the movie by then, and maybe we can compare it to the movie since it will be fresh in our minds?

Well the book club is comprised of some of the Waco FanForce members, we pick a book to read and select a date and we read it and we have the book club meeting where we discuss the what we liked and didn't like about the book.

 

I'm only on page 48. Hope I can finish in time.

 

Woo Hoo! I'm on page 322,it looks like I'll finish in time. BTW,are we meeting at 6:30? If not,I can't be there any earlier than 5:10 or 5:15 because of work.

I went to B&N today and saw the June 2002 newsletter and I saw us on the backpage. It said that we were going to meet there at 7.

 

UPDATS: I went to B&N today and talked to them and they said that everything should be set up by 7, and that from now on when we decide on a book and tell them they will order it in and keep it behind the counter so as to make impossible for any one outside of teh group to buy them.

 

I'll be there. I finished the book yesterday(finally!). I wonder if Fred is still on page 10?

I am proud to say that I actually finished the book for the next meeting AOTC and am ready for the book club discussion.

A little shocked am I. Finish I did. Amaazing it is.

Does anybody know what day the next book club meeting is?

 

The first Thursday in July is on the 4th. So I need to call Nick and what B&N is going to do.

 

UPDATE: I just talked to B&N and they want us to meet on the 4th at 5 or 5:30 I said why not just move it to weds. or Fri. but if everyone is cool with their plan let me know at the Meeting Weds.

 

Uhm, guess it's ok with me it I'm not working. Will not know until next week.

 

D**N! I found out that I DO have to work on the 4th. Can't come.......*wookie whine* and I actually READ the book!
