Yeah, I don't really understand the need for Talzin.

Definitely going to get this. With Dan at the helm this is just going to be as amazing as The Jedi Path. Gotta start saving money.

The pages about the Sith'ari prophecy are going to be torn out.

It would be awsome if the remainders of the pages had scorch marks on them.

well the book lies in a sith holocron, and lights up when you access it. also much more expensive.

They should have (still should) include Darth Tyranus and Jacen. Especially Dooku would be important, as the man is likely the guy who gave the book to Asajj and Quin. Palpatine most certainly would have had no direct contact with those two.

Very excited. Really looking forward to the Malgus, Plagueis, and Sidious portions. Although the rest should be fun as well.

Oddly, I'm thinking the "chain of custody" on the commentators might be: Yoda, Mace Windu, Quinlan Vos (stealing it as part of his undercover work to get into Dooku's good graces?), Asajj Ventress (possibly swiped it from Dooku before he had any time to comment on it?), Sidious, Vader, Luke.

Anyway...preorder placed! My only disappointment now is that The Jedi Path case, as cool as it was, looks plain by comparison. Now I wish it'd come in a blue square-ish "Holocron" style thing that would look so much better sitting on top of the bookshelf opposite where I'll have the Sith version displayed.

Or Vos, unless he's talking about how hard it is to find the second Sith.;)

A very good trailer, with :

A close-up on the face of Darth Ruin
A picture of a Sith Acolyte group, with Maarek Stele or Ingo Wavlud
    Construction plans of Muur Talisman

    Thank you Cronal

if this book can explain why human-Zabrak hybrid females just happen to look EXACTLY like Rattataki, I will be glad for it to include sections by Talzin, Gethzerion, Ros Lai, and Phyllis Diller

I spoke to Mr. Wallace on his blog; unfortunately, this book will NOT contain a retcon of the timeline-screw that is the Killik Sith mentioned in Star Wars Gamer; you know, the one who somehow lived tens of thousands of years before Ajunta Pall even founded the Sith? Apparently Mr. Wallace deemed a detail like that to be too inaccessible to a new reader. I'm still holding out for a picture of Qordis and a name for the last surviving "Darth" after the Triumvirate fell.

Jacen should be left out. Not an impressive Sith. Same with Ventress. Just a wannabe.

They should have included Naga Sadow, or Marka Ragnos. Comments from pure-blood Sith. Some unknown Baneite Sith.

Something from Tyrannus or even Maul. Something intimating that he was planning to kill Sidious.

Would have like to have seen comments from Vader on his reflections on how he really feels about being a Sith.

I am super excited for this. I have yet to read Jedi Path, but I plan on buying it next month for myself.

I just watched the trailer for the Book of Sith and I am pretty sure I saw Luke's signature below one of the comments on one of the pages.

However, I am slightly disappointed by the apparent lack of a padawan's head included with the book. Dan Wallace told me there was going to be one with this version back in the Jedi Path thread.

I was looking forward to the head :(. Just for that, I am only buying the book, not the vault edition.

seeing how the new MMO establishes Killiks still present on Alderaan during the Cold War, perhaps the Killik Sith Lord could be retconned as living after Ajunta Pall?

or he could be a Sith Lord from contact with the actual Sith species

Palpatine probably stuffed them down Plagueis's throat after he killed him (and that's the kid-friendly version): "Here, you piece of $!&!|#, that should illuminate you about my true nature!" [face_mischief]

I don't think this will go into post-Vader Sith, but if it did, it'd be fantastic beyond all expectations if they were treated as wannabes -- same as in Legacy, basically, only more so.

Didn't the Atlas explain that Korriban was briefly invaded by the Killiks? So, maybe this was a Red Sith who became a Joiner as a result and escaped off-world? Maybe even his transformation into a Joiner led to the Sith as a whole uniting to kick the Killiks off their planet?

Looking over appearances of Killiks, they've been around longer than I thought. I thought they were created for Dark Nest, but it would appear they've been with us since '95! The Sith Lord was first mentioned in a Gamer issue in '02, a year before Pall, which makes Pall the retcon, I guess.

Didn't the Killik Sith already predate the Jedi anyway? I don't think it ever made much sense.

This is why I should work at Lucasfilm.

"Rattaki was settled by human-Zabrak hybrids!"

From the screenshot Coffee pasted in the Plagueis thread:

"These stronger minds will recoil as their constituent threads ... -re pulled apart, and they will then perceive their imminent dissolution as Chaos".

Plagueis is a gentlemuun and a scholar. [:D]
