Willis has be confirmed to not be in the next installment. Apparently he didn't leave on good terms with Sly. Sly tweeted that Willis is "Greedy and lazy... a sure formula for career failure". Ford will be taking the place of Willis as the mission handler and Mickey Rourke is confirmed to return.

Chan, Milla and cage are not signed yet.

Snipes, Gibson, and Ford are in. Chan should be close to signing.

 

I thought Cage backed out?

 

I can't stand Mel Gibson (on or off screen) but Harrison Ford could provide a unique dynamic. Can't wait to see this.

 

What, Harrison Ford gets to play yet another crotchety old man? Perish the thought.

He deserves the money. He entered Demi moore's 80s forest. Did you see that thing? He's a brave man.

 

I must confess I have not seen these movies despite wanting to. I grew up on the 80's schlock they're a celebration of after all.

Maybe now that HF is in I'll catch up.

 

So I just read that Willis turned down $3 million for 4 days of work in Bulgaria because he wanted $4 million for 4 days of work. If true that is some serious greed. Obviously it happens a lot in Hollywood and I don't blame a guy for trying to get the most he can, but for 4 days of work he couldn't settle on $3 million? Especially when you have an ensemble cast. Didn't the cast of the Ocean's 11 movies take dramatic pay cuts (or at least the top names) just so they could take part in the film?

 

A number of actors have done that over the years and even Willis did so with "12 Monkeys".

 

So the second movie is on Netflix streaming but the first isn't, WTH?

 

All the Oceans movies were atrociously stupid, so I don't see that you should use that as an example of anything.

 

The first one was fine.

 

unless you're comparing to something else atrociously stupid, like say the expendables franchise.

 

I wasn't using it as an example of a quality ensemble cast production. I was using it as an example of an ensemble production where the big names took a pay cut just to make the movies when guys like Clooney, Pitt, or Damon could have demanded more.



Speaking of which, Bruce Willis was in the second Oceans movie. Maybe they took a pay cut (if that's true) just to give him his 4 million.

 

**** Willis on this... sure, his scenes in this series were enjoyable, but there's enough to look forward to without his greedy mug around.

And for the record, I've only seen one Ocean's film, and that was Ocean's 13... I liked it!

 

If Willis doesn't want the $3,000,000 I'll take it.

Regardless of who's in or out of the cast, it'll still be a fun movie!

I thought the rumors were Cage as the villain but that's not going to happen.
Antonio Banderas is now signed on as well!
