Statham almost drowned in a stunt gone wrong.

"Appearing on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," actor Terry Crews revealed that his "The Expendables 3" co-star and fellow action hero Jason Statham nearly drowned during a stunt gone wrong on the Bulgarian set of the action sequel.

Crews and Statham were performing a stunt that required Crews to sit in the back of a truck that Statham was driving along the edge of the Black Sea.

"He literally is supposed to stop the truck, we get out, we shoot, the whole thing. The truck doesn't stop. The truck goes over the dock, into the Black Sea with Jason Statham driving. He's in the water, in the truck. We were freaking out, everybody's screaming."

Statham thankfully got out, swam to the surface, dried off and went for the next take. The truck itself? It was left at the bottom of the sea."

 

The first I've seen it reported. Since it was Crews relaying the story on Leno, I would assume it didn't just happen.

I would not have thought of Streep joining the concept when they announced it awhile ago, heh.

Van Damme responds to twin suggestion for Expendables 4.

"I had a great time shooting The Expendables 2 with Mr Stallone and other big action stars. Mr. Stallone is an inventive man. He may even create a stronger character than Claude Vilain, the twin brother of Jean Vilain.

Some fans ask me if the next Vilain - if there is a next - is going to be a good guy or a bad guy. I would leave it to Mr Stallone to decide, as I trust his way of imagination."

Of course, a fourth "The Expendables" is still along way off considering the third doesn't hit until August. But the site also reports that producer Avi Lerner and Sly are intending the fourth film to be the last in the franchise.​

I hope that plays out- he was a revelation in the small role he had in #2. Really left you wanting more.

 

Brosnan to join Expendables 4.

"Oh, the offer has come in for the next Expendables. I just worked over in Bulgaria with Avi Lerner who makes them. He said, 'Would you like to be in The Expendables? I'd love to have you', and I said, 'Why not?' So we'll see. I have no idea which one it would be. I just said yes. It could be [Expendables 7]!"​

This would presumably be EX4 given the suggestions that the fourth is supposed to be the last.
